Very honest person. I had issues with transmission valve of Subaru. Dealership said it’s not under warranty and would require $ 2,500. Brought the car to Dan. He researched and gave me a printout of Subaru extended warranty which I showed to Subaru dealership and was able to get the valve fixed at not cost to me. I only paid Dan 50$ for his evaluation. He is most honest mechanic I have come across.

Honest, affordable, and reliable. I grew up in a family of mechanics. My dad owns his own shop with my brothers. Unfortunately they’re in another state. But Dan and Austin fill the void of having a trustworthy mechanic close. They’ve repaired both my cars and given me advice and help - multiple times telling saving me both headache and money. Dan is absolutely the man. I always get top level service and advice. He has kept a number of my cars running and keeps the others very well maintained. I am very lucky to have Dan as my mechanic. I would recommend him for any kind of car service. He is top of line incredible

Beware this company. They seem like nice guys until things don't go according to plan. The day after they changed my oil, the skid pad/cover under the engine of our Honda partially came loose while driving on the freeway, and immediately crumpled under the car, causing a loud screeching sound as the partially torn metal cover scraped along the freeway. This bottom cover has to be removed to perform an oil change. The road was completely clear that day, with no visible objects that the car could have hit. I brought the car back to the shop. But they refused to take any responsibility for what occurred, telling me that it was purely coincidental, even though they had just removed and reinstalled this plate under the car the day before. They told me that I must have hit something large on the road which ripped off the cover, even though I didn't see anything at all, and the road was completely clear. Even if something small hit the bottom of the car, the cover would have had to be loose and poorly fastened to begin with for it to get torn off and crumpled below the car. I've asked several mechanics and they all say that the cover was likely not securely fastened after the oil change. I tried to be polite and offered to share responsibility with the shop, but they declined, and charged me $400+ for a new cover (even though I later found out that the part only costs $150 from multiple different vendors). They even had the nerve to write "ran over something on the road" on my invoice. Very dishonest and disappointing.

I came in for an oil change and transmission service. I usually go to a different location but I wanted to use a coupon. They worked very quickly, were honest, and had reasonable prices so I'll be coming back here in the future.

Nice people, but was upset about the fact that I was quoted a price of about $600 for my repairs, and when I went to pick up my car I was told the cost was just over $1000. When I questioned it, they said there were extra costs due to added issues they found. The thing is, they never called me to inform me of the extra costs. They just went ahead and did the extra work without informing me. Nice people, but to be charged more than 50% of the expected cost with no notice just left a really bad taste in my mouth. As much as I liked the people there, I will not be returning.

A couple months ago My 1988 Chevy Silverado 5.7L V8 had a radiator issue. Engine temperature gauge was acting erratically.Had it towed there. Dan & the guys were able to get it checked out, parts replaced and working. Had to replace radiator.In and out in a few days. Great guys- will be back soon because truck is now having fuel delivery/pressure issues...turns over, starts for a second then dies. I try throttling/revving it but it just bogs down. Then I let off the gas...then it dies.Problem is- I usually let it sit overnight (wherever I am), get a ride back and then it starts up as if there's no issues at all. Been told a mechanic cant diagnose a problem if the vehicle is currently running fine...so I have to wait until the problem persists the next morning, then get it towed ASAP, then hopefully Dan doesnt let it sit overnight so he can diagnose it before the issue 'goes away'. #FrustratingServices: General repairs & maintenance

Wow what a great shop! Took my car here for an oil change as I'm new to the area. This is a family owned business and they are all so kind. I left my car there as I was not in a hurry and my car was still ready in no time at all. I will definitely be not only recommending this business to family and friends but will be using them moving forward for all of my cars needs. Thank you!

In this world, honesty and integrity are hard to find. The customer service San Ramon Auto Repair offers far exceeded our expectations as first time customers. The owner Dan and mechanic Austin provided outstanding service and were very knowledgeable. They kept us informed along the way about the status of the vehicle and about what needed repaired. The cost of repair was also far less than we anticipated.
