Great auto parts store. About as close to an old school parts store as they have around here. Too many local shops have people behind the counter who have never opened the hood or crawled underneath a car in their lives.

These people here have no personality. They do not make you feel welcome. They don't help you put parts on your car. I asked one employee there if he could help with the head lamp he replied, "This is not a body shop". Are you kidding me!?? There is an O'Reilly auto parts right down the street. Do not go to this place ever! This place should go out of business.

All these years that I've know about Monument car part been around. They finally have a website that you can look up parts for your car. I did some research locally and found an Alternator for 2012 Honda odyssey . $100 less and they had it in-stock. Others had to order and ship.

My six month old Bausch battery stopped holding a charge, I bought it back to Monument car parts in San Ramon. They tested it on the spot, reading said replace. Didn't have the expensive $300 AGM battery on site but got it within two hours, they did a peak charge, tested the new battery and had it ready for pickup that day. Totally covered under warranty. These staff members are competent, helpful and very friendly.

I have a 1956 Thunderbird that came with a oil bath air cleaner. I bought a new lid for my air cleaner to convert it to a paper element. However, I had a very hard time finding a paper air element that would fit. The team at Monument in San Ramon VERY patiently poured through their large book of filters until they found one that would work. I am very happy with the service I received at this store.

I'm just curious - is it a prerequisite to be a total a****** to work here? I'll say the counter guy that works up to closing is a uppity j*** ...would it have been to much to ask to get information for specific products for specific vehicles, etc. ? A little kindness and customer service attitude can go a long way - too bad this is the only place around -

Sold me the wrong size tire chains. I could tell the guy was hesitant looking for it. When I repeated the tire size to be sure he got it, he rudely said I heard you the first time. At the end he sold me chains that don’t fit my tire. Terrible service and very rude people. Don’t go there.

Monument Car Parts is a small store on SRVB, near the San Ramon-Danville border. There are lots of businesses here for cars in the vicinity: ELease Returns, Gold Coin Car Wash, Wheel Works, America Tires, Oil Changers, and O'Reilly just to name a few. I made a quick stop to replace some windshield wipers, with the rainy season coming. One of my wipers had the rubber layer come loose so it was like a wet noodle flying around. The nice clerk at Monument helped me pick out the right sized wipers based on my car model and then helped teach me how to replace them. It was much easier than I thought - I am normally not handy around cars and its important to get wipers installed correctly. Safety first, right? 5 stars for excellent service that's friendly and quick. I was in and out in like 5 mins with brand new wipers!

Visiting my family from SoCal so when my van battery was told need to be replaced during oil change, I shopped the national chains to look for the best price. Thanks to my family telling me about Monument I called in and they have comparable battery with about 25% cheaper than the national ones. Shopping was easy and the staff was knowledgeable to make the whole process smoothly. Support local business for the personal touch service!

Monument used to be the only car parts store around. It's dirty and overpriced but there was no alternative. I stopped by today and was rudely told by a clerk "Sir you have to wear a mask" I said "Then I'll shop somewhere else." She said "That's fine." I have to admit, she's right. In fact it's fine that I decided to shop somewhere else because right around the corner is a brand new O'Reilly Auto Parts store! It's clean, well-stocked and I found what I needed in less than a minute. The clerk was wearing a mask but didn't insist that I wear one. The President, the CDC, Dr. Fauci and the press all say that wearing a mask is no longer necessary. So why would the workers at Monument Car Parts be harassing customers? COVID is over! With so many retail companies closing stores because of Amazon, you'd think a company like Monument would do things to _attract_ customers, not drive them away. Needless to say, O'Reilly will be the first place I go to in the future. I'm also going to tell people I don't like Monument. You know -- word of mouth advertising. Who wants to give their business to a monumental failure?

Hands down the 1st place to go for anything automotive related. Deborah, Rod, Marty, Lowell, and Phil are always there to get you what YOU need, especially if you drive a 90's import. Thanks again you guys.
