I was refered here by another car guy, but I was really apprehensive about going to a new mechanic. As a woman, I have had many bad mechanic experiences. I was bracing myself for a bunch of gross dudes to act weird and price gouge me or talk down to me since I don't know much about cars.
Totally the opposite! I was immediately greeted by mechanics who talked to me about what I needed for my car while the office manager was in the middle of a phone call. I had my young daughter with me and it turns out they have very little ones at home. They just made conversation with me while we waited. Then the office manager finished his call and they worked me into a little spot they had available. He quoted me a fair price and they got to work. All lovely men. Very pleasant, friendly and professional. My brakes are happy and so am I. My husband was happy I was treated well since he had to fly out of state and didn't have time to work on my car before he left.
Of course, we're moving away by the end of the month, so I hopefully won't need any more services by then. I just wanted to take the time to share my experience so other people like me will feel comfortable bringing their cars to this shop.

One of the few honest auto repair shop I have found in the East Bay. They have repaired poor work other shops have performed on my sons truck, and stand by their work. Also very reasonable prices

Respectable, honest, and transparent group. They did not try to upsell me, or convince me to do any unnecessary maintenance work. Not to mention they work fast. I’ve been going here for 6 years, and will continue to go here for all of my automotive maintenance needs.

They are talk good but you better ask them to quote you their price before coming as my friend own the auto shop too and i send him their price it wasn't reasonable and over cost.

My grandpa used K&C's for who knows how long before my Grandparents passed. My mom remembered how much my Grandpa would rave about the mechanic who kept their vehicles running (and bought my grandmas Mercedes from). Well after their passing, my car needed work so I gave them a call and brought in my Jeep. I've had random things go out, my Throttle Body, Multi Function Switch. I've needed some batteries replaced, the spark plugs done, oil changes, etc. Each issue I have had, Kevin has run the diagnostics on the car, and then researched the problems. He is honest, doesn't overcharge and they get the work done. Today, my car died and Kevin almost came to jump my car for me but AAA was there quickly. I was able to get my car over to him and he stopped what he was doing and went to replace my battery and replace the terminals as they were bad. He's worked on my mom, stepfather, and brothers cars. We truly feel blessed and happy that we have him and that Ryan (and Honey) greet us when we have to come in. He's the person you don't want to use, but are happy to have on speed dial. I took my car in last week to get my thermostat replaced. I called early and they gave me a great price, while also offering to take my car in the same day! They provided such quality service in a very professional manner. I would definitely recommend!

Kevin and Connor's shop remain one of the most honest mechanics. Came in to have my vehicle inspected after having no major service done in years. Came back with only needing an oil change. Best shop in the tri-valley!

Kevin did a far better job on my Mercedes than the dealers in Pleasanton and Fremont. He was honest, efficient, communicated openly, and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend him to my friends.

My first time working with this shop, and I am impressed. I posted the symptom of my car online and got an answered in a timely manner. I drop off the car for a diagnostic and Kevin was able to explain the issue to me with an exact quote. My car was repaired and was ready as promised. Ryan at the front desk was also very friendly and helpful. Thanks Guys!

Just wanted to give a shout out to an honest auto repair shop, Kevin and Conners repair shop in San Ramon.I took my car to Walnut Creek Ford because the air conditioner was not working. Ford charged me about $245 for the diagnostic and said the A/C compressor needed to be replaced for an additional $1940.00.I brought the car to Kevin and Conners, fully prepared to pay for a new compressor. They contacted me a short time after they opened and told me the compressor was not working due to a lack of refrigerant, which is something that should have been checked as part of the diagnostic process. When they checked the refrigerant, they immediately noticed both Schrader valves were leaking refrigerant. They replaced both valves and recharged the system for less than $350.00. I was appreciative of their honesty, and since they had just saved me hundreds of dollars, I asked if there was anything on the car they thought needed to be replaced, and if so, they could do it immediately. They said a full safety inspection was completed, and everything looked fine.This is how business should be done, with honesty and integrity. This is my new mechanic shop.
