I have an awful experience the same day the rental car broke. Nobody answer the phone after half an hour they started to help me it was March 15 they charged me 259.13 for one trip from San Ramon to alameda and the same day the tow truck towed the car but till they changed me they said you have the car 15 to 17 in March they are lier. They knew the car was broken and they towed.I’m so frustrated that I this unfair charge. I got the Uber and I prove that I did not have the car till 17 because in March 15, same day that I rented it was towed. They are so incredibly unfair and lier and carelessness. I hope their business go down the hill

My experience with the San Ramon location has been nothing but positive. My Tesla has been sitting at the body shop due to an accident (not of my fault) and the customer service here has been great. The day I went to get the rental, the gentleman (unfortunately I didn’t get his name, but he’s Asian) was working all by himself due to lack of staff. He was doing the best he could, running around, answering calls, answering all my questions. He was so patient. I’d definitely rent from here again bc of the customer service.

First time renting a car from a place other than an airport. It took a little longer than the airport experience, but no issues, and the staff was friendly. They also pointed out that it is less expensive to reserve the car online than as a walk in, and that saved me about $120. Overall a good experience

Very clean, quaint place. In the corner of a mall so don't think you have your directions wrong. Helped me when I was between a rock and a hard place for real. Destiny is a godsend!!!! ?? Wonderful staff and a comfortable atmosphere. Glad I chose this location. You'll be too!!

I have a Tesla Model 3 that was damaged and the person at faults insurance Company agreed to provide me a rental while my car was in the shop. The shop repairing my car is a few short blocks away so it seemed like a no-brainer to get my car from this Hertz outlet. I was dismayed at how indifferent and uncaring the staff seemed to be, and the vehicle I was given did not have any floor mats whatsoever and I became concerned that I might be billed for cleaning if I tracked in any dirt or mud so I got the mats out of my car at the shop to prevent damage to the interior of the car.When I asked how bridge tolls are handled, I was told "don't worry, Hertz will simply bill your credit card if and when a bridge toll was incurred. What was NOT stated was that there would be a $13.00 "service" charge in addition to each bridge toll. After spending considerable time trying to get the expected response from the touch screen I called the office and was informed that almost all the features that make the Tesla driving experience unique are disabled - driver assist, lane control, following distance, all audio features except a few FM channels and even the glove box opener. Why was this not stated at the time it was given to the customer?I will never, ever EVER do business with this Hertz location again!

Definitely would recommend to anyone looking to rent a vehicle. It's a greatly run office with Katrina as the manager, Ben and Destenee were super nice and professional as well.

Avoid this location. Their process is broken. 1) FYI ..Reservation system does not reflect actual cars on hand or available for rental. Your reservation is basically worthless. 2) After being incredibly patient and waiting over an hour, the employee finally told me despite them acutally having the car I wanted and waiting while they clean it, "the system" wouldn't let them rent it, after the employee improperly closed my last reservation, apparently due to a misunderstanding or lack of training. 3) I was forced to travel 30+ minutes to yet another Hertz location that allegedly had the car (Nope). The San Ramon employee refused to call ahead to confirm it was available for me and said I should trust their online system (haha) and that it "should" be accurate if I got a confirmation (Nope - it wasn't). After four hours, I finally got a car but still not the car I had reserved. Be prepared to waste a good part of your day with these folks. Simply unacceptable. Reading the past reviews this is clearly not an isolated incident and not one to likely be fixed anytime soon.

I am on the phone with them right now, they proceeded to coss me out forgetting that I was not put on hold.I dropped off the key in the box AFTER reading the paper on the glass saying "if we are not here, drop the key of in the box" - exactly what I did, they charged me for an extra day and refuse to accept responsibility.Who are these people? Horrible attitude, terrible service, confrontational over being professional.

Horrible attitudes, poor selection, vehicles smelled like dive bar ash trays. Manager was flustered and very irritated @ me for asking about what suvs they had available. I guess having to deal with an entire 2 customers (myself and a phone caller) was too much to handle. I didn't expect much out of a strip mall rental store manager but maybe attend a DVC class on Business Management 101... Avoid. Ended up @ Enterprise San Ramon with professional attitudes and courteous employees. Hertz = ghetto.

Best and easiest car rental experience I've ever had. I spend easily 40k a year on car rentals. I'll never use a different company again. Hertz has their act together.
