Jane is great! Her studio is very clean. I got a perm and a two block haircut for the first time, and am very happy with them. As she cut and permed my hair, she would let me know what she was doing which helped me feel more comfortable with the process. Additionally, at the end, she showed me how to style my hair, based on the photo reference I provided. I'm very satisfied with the result! I'll definitely be coming back.

Hate to give a bad review but here's what happened. This happened a few months back.
I came in & asked for a two block. I explained to her how I didn't want more than 1 inch off and tried to show her examples of what I wanted, but I was abruptly cut off and she went straight to the haircut.
She automatically went for the shortest clip possible when cutting the undercut of the two block. From my experience, you should barley even be using clips for the undercut for a 50$ haircut. That's the sort of thing you do when you cut your own hair. After I realized how short the clip she was using was I realized how much of a disaster this haircut was going to be & told her to just match the upper part of my hair with the undercut.
Overall disaster. Barley listened to what her customer said, abruptly cut them off, then proceeded to do her own thing.
Funny thing is, when I went to a professional salon in Tokyo about 4 months later, the man cutting my hair said "why is your undercut so short, did you clip it yourself?" It's funny how the aftereffects of the bad haircut showed even 4 months after the haircut LOL. This also gave me the confidence that I wasn't the only one who felt like the haircut I got was terrible.
I'm unsure about women's hair, but I 100% don't recommend going here for men.

The haircut was generally ok in our first interaction. Saw her in person once and was made to feel like she was doing you the biggest favor in the world by cutting your hair even though you're paying her. You don't need to be extra friendly to be a hair stylist but you can't make your clients uncomfortable/feel crappy by asking even asking a simple question as 'what shampoo do you recommend?' If you want a service from her, just know that it'll most likely come with an attitude and general unfriendliness. For our second interaction, I saw from other reviews that she might have been having a tough time with her dog passing (which she did not tell me, nor did she have to). I was also going through my 2nd miscarriage in 2 months so I was empathetic to other things in life happening but it was an overall very negative interaction that left me deciding to not coming back. Pretty disappointed since I was hoping she'd be my go to stylist given all the good reviews.

my appointment with jane was okay, but she should improve on her customer service and listening skills. she wasn't really friendly when I walked in and didn't make any conversation hardly. it was uncomfortable in her suite. she whipped out the shears when I asked her what are you doing? she rolled her eyes and sighed. I can tell she didn't like questions. i reached out to her with issues on my haircut and she blocked my number. what a childish act.

I was getting a bit tired of my usual barbershop and my wife recommended me here to get a haircut. I showed her some examples of the hair style my wife thought would look great on me and she definitely got it right. My wife liked it much more compared to my old cuts so a win win! I will be coming back.

This is an overdue review. I had my Japanese straightened done by Jane back in December and she did an amazing job. She was professional, and was attention to detail. My hair has some volume like I wanted. Thank you Jane!

Jane is very experienced and professional hair stylist. My husband was trying to grow his hair out but he has very straight, thick, and stubborn hair that could be hard to work with especially for perm. Jane recommended medium perm and to keep the back/side hair short which made his head shape look so much better. We're very satisfied with the result and will continue to come back. If you're looking for experienced hairstylist who knows all about perms, yes, she is the one!

Jane was great! I live about 40 min away but it was worth the drive and appointment. I needed a new stylist and figured I would check her out. She is by appointment so don’t forget to book.From the start it was easy. I sent a few photos or how I wanted my cut and all over color and seriously hands down, nailed it!!! She also talked me through the costs if I wanted to do such and such to my hair so I can decide what I want to add on. I love it so much. It’s healthier, stylish and she was able to take my inspo and gave me a fabulous haircut.She’s super friendly, professional, knows her skill and flexible. I plan to come back for highlights in the summer.Services: Haircut

I’ve finally found a hairstylist that I will keep going to over and over again!I’ve been to many places around the Bay (especially the Tri-Valley), trying to find someone who understands how to cut, color, and style Asian hair. But I’ve finally found that someone in Jane!I’ve had my hair cut by her twice already and colored once, and both experiences have been amazing. She has even cut and permed by boyfriend’s hair and it came out perfect!To top it all off, Jane is such a sweet and kind person. She was a delight to chat with and she makes sure you’re comfortable throughout the appointment.I would recommend scheduling ahead of time as she gets filled up with appointments rather quick, but she does ask if you are in a rush for an appointment and will try accommodate an earlier time if she can.Overall, I would highly recommend Jane for your haircut needs!Services: Haircut

I went here 3 times already and always forgot to leave a review! Jane is my go-to for a year now, and I always have a root perm, a layer cut and curtain bangs with her. Her salon is in the left hallway, all the way to the end of a bunch of other salons. Her place is clean, and she is always attentive to her customer. She does haircut, color, ombre, balayage, hair treatment etc. You can book by phone number or on her website or on Yelp. The perm I had with her is always gentle, pain free, and stays for months! Trust me if you want to get treated by an Asian hair expert, she is the one to go to! She knows her customer hair condition, propose treatment and have nice little details for you. On top of this her price is reasonable, I totally recommend! You will love it!
