PJ is a great guy, who appreciates and respects those who appreciate and respect him. Just like most of us he a human and obviously those 1 star giving people are not. So what if you got the guy on a bad day, before you get all immersed in your feelings about a person’s reaction to your personality, so much so that you take the energy to go online and make an emotion fueled post about a business or a person who owns it, think about all the times that you were less than perfect when servicing an annoying, or rude, or unpleasant customer. I bet you’re glad no one posted a comment about you, or a video calling you out for it. I can tell you this, I was a customer of Diablo Pharmacy for many years before moving out of state four years ago. Since then my family and I have said, “I miss PJ so much!” many times when having to deal with the big corporate pharmaceutical companies lack of compassion, concern, and personality.

I didn’t believe all the one star reviews until just now call Diablo Pharmacy myself. I called for a price check and the person didn’t understand me, stating I had a heavy accent. I said I was actually sick and losing my voice, I just can’t believe someone would say that to a customer and that’s extremely unprofessional.

This pharmacy is very convenient and PJ is a wonderful pharmacist. I highly recommend this location. Give him a call and visit and support your local pharmacist. 10 stars ?

For a family member, they were supposed to deliver a very important new heart medication at 10am and did not do so. This was organized by the hospital case manager. After some frantic calls to get it, we got another pharmacy to give that medication.However, Diablo had already billed for that medication even though they didn’t deliver it so we could not get that medication. This caused some more frantic calls to our insurance and new pharmacy to make this happen. Overall, this is unacceptable and frankly dangerous. I hate to write a review for a seemingly small business. Maybe it’s a delivery problem. But when you operate a pharmacy and have access to life saving medications it’s unacceptable that medication is not delivered.

I was nursing a knee injury when I first walked into Diablo pharmacy. It’s a very cozy environment that felt more like one’s living room rather than a typical pharmacy. I was greeted by P.J. the owner with a warm smile and genuine inquiry of my well being. I located a nearby chair to sit in next to lovely plants that graced the window sill which imparted a relaxing vibe . I inserted myself in the conversation that was happening and was received with warmth and acceptance. It was as if friendships with random folks were created as my prescription was being filled. I met Cory, who drove an hour and a half to be there undoubtedly because like me, he loved the experience that this pharmacy imparts. It’s not a sterile pharmacy where one picks a number, waits in line, and receives prescriptions from a robot. This place is where you talk to a knowledgeable pharmacist, skilled in his craft, in a nice place that also sells useful items for everyday health care.

The pharmacist is extremally racist and predatory. My friend went in and the pharmacist (PJ) was saying how he wished all the black people in Oakland would just get shot and die. As well as mentioned how my friend was born the same year as his daughter and that if she called him daddy he would give her a discount. This place is disgusting. Would never recommend.

PJ is absolutely phenomenal; he is the sole proprietor and pharmacist at Diablo Pharmacy. We've been going to PJ for six years and would not consider using another pharmacist. PJ treats all of his customers with good old fashioned and genuine customer service that seems so rare to find. He treats all of his customers with the utmost importance and concern. You will have a difficult time finding another PJ. He's a rare human and pharmacist indeed.

We (spouse and I) never had a need for a compounding pharmacy before as we have our typical prescriptions automatically refilled via another company. However, when our family need one-off prescriptions filled (after urgent care visits, etc.), we tend to go to either CVS/Walgreens and the likes. Yesterday evening, after a Pediatric Urgent Care visit for our kiddo, we were given a prescription that was sent to CVS inside Target. They then told us they can't fill it and we need to go to a main store like CVS/Walgreens that is a standalone brick and mortar store (meaning not inside another store). After calling several nearby CVS/Walgreens standalone stores, no one can fill the prescription. Finally, someone mentioned to us that we need a "compounding pharmacy". We Yelped for a compounding pharmacy and called Diablo Pharmacy, which was still open. Unfortunately, Diablo Pharmacy had one of the main ingredients listed in the prescription in powder form, which isn't the liquid form called out in the prescription (that's a no go for us since the Urgent Care physician confirmed the powder form wouldn't be as effective). Although we didn't fill our kiddo's prescription with this pharmacy due to one ingredient needed that wasn't an exact match as the one prescribed, we felt that this business deserves the five star rating. They were great to work with and for that, we're grateful for.

Their driver cut me off twice while trying to get onto the freeway, and he was swerving across multiple lanes on the freeway. I exited the same freeway exit and cross paths with their driver again on the streets, and he was running red lights and very aggressive. Don't know anything about this company, however their drivers are dangerous and needs to be retrained or have their drivers licenses revoked.

PJ is truly one of a kind! Nowadays it’s almost impossible to go to a pharmacy or even a doctor and feel any kind of personal touch. But with PJ, he will treat you like family and always gives respect to you and extra care for what’s happening in your life. He is also very knowledgeable about the meds so he will take great care of you on every possible level. I drive extra distance just to see PJ each month and as long as he is there I will always continue to do so!! This is how all encounters should be but as I said, PJ is one of a kind so cherish him!!

Best pharmacy I've found in the area. The pharmacist (PJ) is incredibly helpful, can do compounding, and has always gone above and beyond for me and my family. Can't recommend them enough.

Diablo Pharmacy where the Owner/Pharmacist, PJ Jahan RPH, treats every customer as if they are his first priority. He truly embraces the slogan, "A Small Pharmacy with a Big Heart". PJ is efficient in his work but wants to get to know the people he serves. He's one of a kind! Anyone who walks into his pharmacy will be greeted with a huge smile and a hearty hello. In a world where customer service is at an all time low PJ is a shining example of how to build and maintain a healthy independent business and leave every person feeling better after visiting with him.Thank you PJ!
