It's unbelievable even in these inflated times that this course charges $93 for morning weekend play. With the extensive bare patches/mud on the fairways and bumpy greens they can't be using this money for actual course maintenance. Do not waste your weekend here.

A good condition public course with nice/friendly crews both from pro shop and the restaurant.

Here’s a better idea then playing golf at Canyon Lakes… Take the $90 you would be spending on green fee’s, go into the restaurant and get a couple beers and a nice lunch. It will be cheaper, and I promise you won’t feel ripped off. In a nutshell, the tee boxes are uneven, the fairways are horrible, and the greens have rot, bald spots, and haven’t been rolled since the Clinton Administration. In the plus side, the carts are nice & new. Oh, it was a 5hr round even though we tee’s off at 8:00am.

Really disappointing golf course. The brewery is awesome and beers are great. The lookout from the brewery is also beautiful. But here's the issue with the course:
1. It is priced similar to Callippe. Yet, not a single green has been rolled within the past decade, and all but one of them has diseased patches that make the putting GRUESOME. I'm not kidding.. we ended up having to play punched-green rules (max 2-putt).
2. Condition of tee boxes and fairways are sub-par. Tee boxes are slanted and some fairways and roughs look like the desert. Rock hard dirt where grass used to be. Puddles elsewhere.
3. Sand traps are concrete. No effort whatsoever on these.
It is my least favorite public course in East Bay (San Ramon, Dublin, Las Positas, Callippe, Wente, Boundary Oaks... all are preferable to this course).
I used to love this course. They have a great track that needs love, and it would be good again. Management is just destroying it.

The course conditions aren't as good as it once was. I hope somehow they get some money to get the course back to what it once was. The price was also high considering. But it had great staff. Excellent food and overall the people made it great

Found it near our destination and the menu looked amazing. Lots of choices to please everyone in our party. Quick, late lunch then on our way.
Even though a handful of empty tables, we were told we could be seated by no ordering for 15 minutes. Um okay. 15 min later we order drinks. 15 min later they arrive. One beer and one kids lemonade. Two appetizers (generic pretzels and hummus plate with veggies) took another 20-30 minutes.
Also, throughout the restaurant, the table rules are clearly posted. 90 min limit.
Our entrees arrived at the 90 min mark. There was no urgency or quickness by any of the staff. And honestly thought they were all high cuz they were walking around with dull faces and just kind of blah.
When our server walked by I asked for a box and the check and then handed him the credit card. We were done and our patience exhausted.
Two hour lunch not during a rush. Just not great and super unexpected and disappointing.
