I want to give you guys 5 stars but you just lied to me. You said you were open until 9, I walked over with plenty of time, and of course you were closed. You don’t stay open during your advertised hours. You don’t open your store when you say you’re supposed to according to Google Maps, and I extremely dislike when I take the time to call a business and they say they’re going to be open and their not. I hope you change this habit of opening late and closing early, it’s hurting your business.

They have a nice selection of snacks and brews! Every Liquor you could ask for. They have friendly people who work there. Service is excellent every time I go there. I'd go there 10x/10

Had a feeling that the cashier (middle eastern) was trying to scam me a few dollars so I canceled buying all items and the cashier began to act very unprofessional so I'm not going to Winton's any more cause the cashier was super rude and not friendly.

I love this store, and I don't drink. The owner is a nice man, he also owns the Quick and Easy in San Anselmo. His wife and employees are all nice. It's fun going in here. But I have become friends with all of them. I already knew Bobby, the owner, his wife and one employee. Every non alcoholic drink is here. Plus candy, ice cream, snacks, cigarettes and E-cigarettes and alcohol. Oh Cigars and Zippo lighters too. I always talk for awhile if it's not busy.

Winton's is across from a coffee shop. between these businesses in downtown san rafael are the only panhandlers visible in san rafael. winton sells a motley mix of hard core mags, snacks, gums, high end 'gars, candies, sweets, wines, and beers. hardly any beers are priced. rating : 2.5 stars mainstream beers represented. micros not too much. pours: moylan's kile lifter scotch-type ale (22 oz., 8%, 5.90) -robust. chocolate tasting brew, quick buzz, -"rich malt balances perfectly with rich hops to provide a concentrated and intense flavor" yep, copped this from the bottle. too buzzed to be original. 5 stars! -brewed in novato, ca.! on draught: -indian cashier doesn't smile.

It seems that every time I end up on 4th Street in San Rafael, I stop here. It's literally the old neighbourhood corner store. Although it's not flashy and is a little worn at the edges, its common touch draws me in (if only for a few minutes). Sometimes it's for a newspaper or maybe I choose something from their odd selection of office supplies. Last time it was gum, a non-adult beverage, and an empty cigar box.
