I was looking for a place to inspect my Samsung TV which stopped working. I assumed it was the backlight so I did some calling around and found that Video & Audio Repair in San Rafael had very fair pricing but they also said they would do a full diagnostic before making any repairs. It turned out to actually be the motherboard. The entire time I felt like they wanted to properly fix my TV while still being honest and transparent with me which I appreciated. I will definitely use them again in the future!

Legendary store. Love it...took a linear tracking turntable in for repairs and got it back in like-new condition. Reasonable price.

Call before you go to get something fixed to make sure it's worthwhile. I called and he said he could fix it but bring it in so I did. On a old video cam that I could buy used for about $120 on eBay they were gonna charge me a "minimum" of $75 "to look at" it plus parts with no guarantees. My Grandmother could offer the same deal for free. Marin needs another place to fix ALL OF THE electronics in this county. There will NEVER be a downturn in that business. Somebody with the passion and brains for fixing smallto medium sized electronics should start it...you can't lose.

Great repair company. They fixed our Marantz receiver without issue. They diagnosed, repaired and returned our receiver in great time and all is well in the world of surround sound now.

Brought expensive wireless headphones in for repair. Estimate took over two weeks. Then was promised they could repair but they needed parts and would take time to get. Several week later I was told they could not be repaired. Headphones were returned to me destroyed - way worst than when I brought them in. Glad I did not pay them in advance like they originally asked. I am sad because I like the people there. Just not a professionally run repair shop. So I believe it is gamble bringing your electronics here. Maybe they are able to repair somethings? But I would obviously NOT bring your expensive wireless headphones here.

Great TV repair and customer service. They came to our home (that was our option for a small fee, you can also go to the store) Ended up taking our TV because it unfortunately needed a part that had to be ordered, which was fine. They got back to us in a timely manner with a fixed tv and they also delivered it to us as well at no extra cost. They are up front with their prices no hidden fees. Great service and didn't charge what Best Buy was going to. Would definitely use them again!

Run, don't walk, to Video & Audio Repair Center if you have a TV that's not working. Our 12 yo Samsung plasma TV suddenly quit working properly. My husband was skeptical that a repair shop would be able to fix our older TV at a price that made it worth doing a repair vs. buying a new one. I called Video & Audio repair, they told me to bring in the TV that day, and it was ready for pick up 2 days later. They needed to replace a capacitor and board, and with labor & parts it only cost me about $150 total. Taher the owner was a pleasure to work with, and his pet birds at the shop are gorgeous and gregarious - a plus in my book! Highly recommended. And it's so important to try to fix things rather than just throw them on the trash heap if we can help it.

I was so happy to find this great place, and sorry I did not know about it sooner. I needed my DVD/VCR player refurbished as I have lots of tapes and DVDs I value. The owner, Taher, was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and informative. Very honest and helpful. Now I know where to go for my television and music device needs, and I could not be more satisfied.

He fixed my 2005 Nakamichi stereo. He fixed the CD player after someone else failed to. The price seemed reasonable. He carried the stereo to my car trunk. No complaints.
