Love it! There are slim pickings for thrifting in Marin County but The Salvation Army is the most viable option as Goodwill is over priced in my opinion. Got his nice purse that had a clutch and a change purse inside for 20. And a pair of Air Jordans for 20. Staff is friendly!!!

Salvation Army has many great options for helping people. This store in particular has recently begun mixing the more fanciful and high quality items with everything else, destroying the quality corner and making it very difficult for anyone who is just looking for quality because they have to sort through waaay too many items to find what they are looking for. This action was totally UNNECESSARY.It will ruin the store. Also, as a whole, they are trying to transform poverty,But they lack the skills to end poverty and the skills to actually shift homeless populations because they continue to allow slave cultures by disempowering and creating more neediness within the local and national communities. Most homeless people have drug addictions and emotional as well as physical abuse conditions. They live in constant survival mode.As a nun for over a decade, I worked alongside the Catholic community and Homeward Bound and I discovered that the tools we are using are absolutely inadequate and are causing more trouble than good. One very good example of this is how our country handles immigration. Our policies are very very obscure and we are not doing enough to secure our borders so that we can effectively handle our domestic crisis of homelessness. Our local and birthright citizen's needs should take precedence over foreigners.WE HAVE MASSIVE TENT HOMELESS POPULATIONS DUE TO DOMESTIC ISSUES SUCH AS WILDFIRES, FLOODS, STORMS, TORNADOS AND A NUMBER OF OTHER NATIONAL SECURITY THREATS THAT HAVE PUT MANY OF OUR OWN PEOPLE INTO FEMA CAMPS ACROSS AMERICA.HOW DARE THESE NEW FRESHMEN LIARS SUCH AS RASHIDA TLAIB, AOC, PRESSLEY, OMAR, AND OTHERS SEEK TO ALLOW ILLEGAL CRIMINALS ACROSS OUR BORDERS AND THAT NGOS LIKE SALVATION ARMY ARE SUPPORTING THEIR ANTI AMERICAN EFFORTS TO DESTROY OUR COUNTRY FROM WITHIN.

You make a special trip to donate some nice stuff. No attendant at the truck, which is locked. They refuse to accept anything inside. On a Saturday in the afternoon an hour before closing time.

Very disappointing. I had some furniture I wanted to deliver rather than contribute to landfill but I spoke to two different people both were very unhelpful and would not commit to taking the furniture unless I brought it there first which is very expensive to do only to have a turned away. I offered to send pictures but they would not provide an email address and said they don't have company email and they won't use their personal ones. I tried to schedule a pick up but they won't do that either. They make it very difficult to help others by being so unprofessional.

The only organization that I know is not based on profit. All funds go back into the much needed rehabilitation of people. For the people by the people.
