This is what a neighborhood pet store should be. I love this place. I’m glad they moved from San Anselmo to San Rafael. It’s much closer for us and we can get our chicken feed and our dog food. My kids love looking at all the fishes in their tanks and watching the birds, guinea pigs and snakes. You can’t create a vibe like Redhill Pet Through any corporate entity it just comes naturally through neighborhood people and local folks. We love you Elvis. Sir walks a lot only uses red help pet center.

Friendly staff, great selection of reptiles, birds, fish, tarantulas and pet food at reasonable prices! They will also carry the food out to your car - very sweet!A bearded dragon lizard mama highly recommend this pet store over the other local pet stores as they have higher quality

Just found this pet store and I’m so grateful. I recently got a bearded dragon and it has been a huge nightmare trying to find the right bulbs for the size tank I have. I went to multiple petcos PetSmarts in Sonoma county and the east bay and no one caries or had the right lighting. I had to go to a reptile store in Hayward for the bulbs and ended up purchasing the only two they had. As soon as I walked in they had the exact bulb and lighting fixtures I needed. Will be getting all reptile lights from this store. The owner was very helpful and gave me some great tips about the care of my dragon. Just wished google would have recommended this pet store for reptile supplies.

Elvis and crew are the best.Yes, it’s a small shop and a bit cluttered.But the service and knowledge are both very good and comfortably personalized.Whether it is simple supplies, special orders, or boarding; they always come through.

Elvis has helped us care for our fish and cats for over 10 years. He knows so much about fish animals and is a great resource for needed products and advice. He is so kind and caring about our pets. I love the times I have walked into the store in San Rafael and have had the chance to listen to long time clients share pet stories with Elvis and staff. Elvis is like the local pet owner therapist! He and his staff are great listeners and very responsive. If I need anything special for our pets, Elvis either has it or will get it. Definitely a local, independent store, run by a person with a kind heart and lots of knowledge about pets (and a delightful musician on the side).
