I love the staff. Everyone is friendly, kind, knowledgeable and considerate. Every time I go in I see cute dogs and happy customers. However I believe America should stop selling betta fish in cups. I bought one impulsively and the staff was very knowledgeable and made sure I had everything to maintain my fishes health. Had the employees not educated me on tank size, filter requirements and suitable tank mates my dude would not be thriving. ( and he is) Ten stars for great employees. Upon my own research. I found the business practices of betta Fish as a whole in America to be unethical. I love my fish. He is happy and healthy.

Do not go here. They told me a 5 gallon tank just hold less fish than a 10 gallon. I bought a 5 gallon tank on Amazon and came back to get the fish and REFUSED to sell me any fish but a beta to go inside the tank. They know nothing about fish tanks here. I used to go here all the time and now I will never go back.

This is one of my favorite petco’s. All the staff are amazing to work with and are super cool. Anthony, Blessie are amazing and have the best knowledge and team work. I love all the pets I have from them. From fish to Guinea pigs it’s all the best experience that I do not get from other stores.

Tried to get my dog's nails trimmed twice. Was recommended from Novato because the PetCo groomers did not have availability at Novato. Tried to call ahead for availability but their phone lines were down, but they had closed the groomer early with no noticeI scheduled an appointment for the next day and when I showed up they did not have the staffing to cut my dog's nails. I drove four hours round trip (one hour each way twice) to not get the service done despite a scheduled appointment.

I took my dog here to get groomed. First off I was 2 minutes late once I got there I was told the groomer went to the store real quick and would be back soon. Once the person came I explained how I wanted my pup cut she explained that she might not be able to do that which is fine. My dog was there over 2 hours when I went to pick her up you have to pay before you see your dog I paid and, tipped 10$ which the cashier thought was so nice ( I should of known then) when I saw my dog her ears were wet and she smelled bad still . Now it's been 3 days and my dog is scratching profusely and I feel like she didn't get cleaned or get her glands expressed . I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN! I'm tempted to call them and ask for my tip back. I paid 100$ for my dog to get get an ugly cut and still smell bad . I'm upset you have to give a star

I bought a fish tank and it was missing a filter. My wife went to exchange it and was assured all the pieces were in the new kit. When she got home the actual tank was cracked and broken. I called to tell them I was coming to exchange it and the person on the phone said they would leave one for me. When I got there they told me they were closed and would not let me in to exchange it. I asked where the person who I spoke to was and they said he left and I had to come back the next morning. Mind you I live in a different town and it was pouring rain the whole time. I pleaded with the manager but all he could do was smirk and tell me there was nothing he could do. I left the tank with him and as I was leaving he kicked it out of the store and closed the doors. When I came the next morning they said they didn't have the tank and they would not refund me or get me the correct kit. I have never been treated so badly and will never shop there again. Your staff was more interested in being right than taking care of my issue.

Exposed coral to air when I was buying it and they put almost no water in the bag. Was refused a refund even though they mishandled and abused the coral which isn't supposed to touch air at all. If animal was mistreated during the process we're 100% granted the right to a return and the staff said there were signs which said no refunds on salt water which is also a lie. Will be contacting store customer support/corporate to get this taken care of.

I am only sharing my own experience and it has not been good at all. I was looking into setting up a koi fish tank and asked help for all products needed. "The specialist" was answering all my questions at first and told me to come back when they have more items and promotions which was a couple days later. Well I did I showed up but he was in the store and did not meet me to help select all items, I waited 35 mins nothing, the manager even went back to get him nothing. So I left and called back a couple times, still trying to setup my tank, but no response, I wasted my time giving them a slight consideration. Wont do that again. Will go to a real aquarium specialist. I would put a zero rating but its not possible. Highly disappointed, not the feedback I expected

Many disrespectful people starting from the managers, they had many products that were packaged in the middle of the store, more than 3 days passed that it was still in the same place and a man in the fish department is very disrespectful.

I went to get 7 crickets and they told me they only sold crickets by the 40s. I've gotten crickets from several other Petco locations and have never been told anything like that.
