The veterinarian was knowledgable, skilled, and explained things well. It was a distressing situation that ended well because if the quality of care. Bonuses: very fair costs, all explained, and not a long wait.

I cannot say enough positive things about the Pet Emergency and Specialty Center of Marin. My six-month-old German Shepherd puppy, Bear, suffered a fractured leg after a freak accident at the beach and was in an immense amount of pain and distress. I was equally distressed and terrified as I rushed him to the hospital. From the moment I walked in, I was met with a team that was not only professional but also incredibly compassionate.
The entire staff—from the front desk to the finance department, amazing vet techs, vets, and our phenomenal surgeon (Dr Story)—went above and beyond to ease both Bear's pain and my worries. Their communication was excellent throughout, keeping me informed every step of the way, which was incredibly reassuring during such a stressful time. They took the time to explain the treatment plan, surgery, and recovery, and were so patient and understanding with me as a nervous dog mom.
The care Bear received was exceptional, but what stood out the most was the level of empathy and compassion the staff showed both to him and to me. They turned a terrifying experience into something manageable, and I will forever be grateful for their kindness, professionalism, and dedication. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of emergency care for their pet.

Fast! Especially during emergencies. They are so kind and helpful here, every employee I encountered during my last 3 visits. So many different specialist work here, every one of them were exceptionally good at their job and made both my dog and I comfortable. I felt very informed and learned so much about my dog. Not to mention, my dog was obsessed with all of the staff. I felt bad that she kept jumping and kissing the staff, but they all showed her love back and did not mind her crazy puppy energy. Also, the waiting room is nice with a free coffee bar!

Your cardiology program is critical to Marin. Dr. Waterman monitors Wolfie's heart condition, provides expert counsel, researches his other health issues, and always answers our questions. Also, your 24-hour emergency vets on duty and Vet Tech Gladys saved our puppy when he had parvovirus. We are fortunate that PESCM is part of our care team.

I am extremely happy with the very attentive care my medically complex kitty receives. Also, everyone, from the front desk staff all the way up to the cardiologist, has been very kind and sympathetic to the problem of loving a 19th-year-old cat. I really appreciate you guys.

The front desk people just lie to customers and tell them whatever they think they want to hear. When I checked in, I was told thst there was only one patient ahead of us…now after 1 1/2 hours and watching g multiple people come and go…we are still waiting to be seen. #Liars

Staff has always been knowledgeable, helpful and compassionate. There is no "hard sell" of services. Great experience. Receptionist was great. Everyone was, but she was just a joy to deal with. Knowledge, professionalism and compassion of all the staff makes potentially hard circumstances better.

The doctor was so engaged, present, and thoughtful in helping determine the best plan of action. I understood the options and feel we did exactly the right things to support my pup. Pup is doing well right now and hoping it stays that way!

I hope you never need to visit this emergency center but if some reason you do rest assured that the team here are great at what they do while being caring too.

Aside from the long waits (which is typical for a Vet ER!), I've always had excellent care and communication when I've brought my pets to PESCM. I've recommended them to others many times. The staff is always kind and patient and communicates well with updates. And though the bills are never cheap, I think they are reasonable and on par with what my usual vet would charge. I’ve brought my golden retriever to them with a myriad of issues (foxtails, incl. neck surgery), gastric problems - as well as my cats. When I had to make the decision to put my cat down, the staff was very kind and treated me with patience and empathy. I even received a condolence card in the mail a few days later.

The worst expirience ever!, My dog had something trap in his throat very obvious that he need it to get it out,but he coudn't, after waiting 2 hours for asisstency, they didn't do anything and kept asking about making test of other things that wasn't related with the issue silly and obvious questions , like we noticed that his gums are pinkish if that's ok we would like do a test for this and if is ok for that, and adding cost to the visit and i kept saying just see what's inside it took 1 hours to just comfirm that i was right not even looking in or doing anythin, I asked are you guys wore going to see what is it and they wore asking for 800 dolars just to explore his throat so i had to leave and they charged me 120$ for not doing anything. This people are taking advantage of the worst situations and charging insame amounts of money when animals and owners are in need of help, this is not love for animals and not professinalism this is pure capitalism with no soul a total hipocresy making health a business and not love for what they do, i took my dog to Mexico they made a simple x ray for 20$ to find out that he had a sirious cut in his throat fortunally. This is why there are so many animals in shelters in the USA because hospitals like them are taking advantage of the most needed things and situations they are not making a living they are robbering people and playing with animals life maybe some 5 rich people can afford it but 20 that really love animals don't and those are the ones that really can save the life of animals that are in need of a home, i hope you guys feel guilty and start to realize where does humans principles and values nowadays are going. this is really sad there is no heart and soul on people anymore

Folks who work in veterinary care are often SO abused and undervalued. As a result, it can be hard for staff to give exemplary customer support. Despite all the pressure and difficulty and pain that comes with running a facility like this, the staff is EXCEPTIONALLY kind and patient. I feel incredibly grateful to have brought my puppy Fry here :) thank you all so much for your incredible care of both my pet and human temperament!
