Reluctant Windows/MS Office user. Mac is not an option. No getting off this train. No Microsoft tech support. Northbay to the rescue. Real human beings in a real brick and mortar shop.They tweak and twerk this infuriating box, slap it in the face, throw water on it, mouth to mouth reccesitation. Frankenstein rises from the dead. Crucial data files rescued. They school me in backup, train me a bit of os and other stuff. Northbay is highly ethical. What do they gain from schooling me in backup so I don't need them to rescue me? What do they gain telling me not to fix my computer when it's cheaper to buy new. This standard of ethics must have been expensive to maintain as the cost of tech plummeted. They are still here years later. Same people, same shop. I have no affiliation to any of them. I am just very grateful. It appears that they recycle, good for the planet, good for me. Glad they are still here.

North Bay computer was the IT "dept" at my law firm. They were always able to obtain new hardware when needed and fix whatever problem we were having with our system without all the fidgeting that many repair guys seem to display. After my retirement, I have continued to call on them any time I need help. They are available for consultation remotely and often can handle the problem without my having to actually go in to their shop. If I need more extensive service, one of their super friendly and knowledgeable technicians has been able to come to my home personally at a very reasonable cost to me. Cannot recommend these guys highly enough.

Over the past few years I've received great service for my PC issues from North Bay but this past week they really went above and beyond and helped resolve a very complex issue involving compatibility with an old program (an issue I've been told numerous times in the past from other IT consultants could not be fixed). I have used this company for years for my PCs and have sent clients to them. They are reliable and do a fantastic job. Very reasonable prices. Recently I could not get my Windows 10 network to see the desktop and laptop no matter what I tried. Ready to give up, I called them and they did a remote fix that overrides the way Windows should always work. Bingo!! They now connect perfectly. It took about 45 minutes not having to take my machines in. THANKS!!!

I called the shop the day after Thanksgiving as my son's PC went belly-up. John said he was calling it a short day, due to the holiday, but said he would wait for me if I was planning on coming by shortly. He diagnosed the problem, replaced the PSU and I was on my way in less than an hour. My son is now very happy, as am I. I highly recommend NorthBay Computer Systems!
