He has brand new Top Notch Mechanics and I couldn't be more impressed with the work they have done on my car. I HIGHLY recommend North Bay Auto. Ever is Honest and will be very open to giving you the best deals. He is One of the Good Guys.

I went to this business, seeking a reliable car for me and my daughter. I told Fernando that I'm a single dad and I just need something safe and reliable. He sold me a car that right off the bat I had to put in a new power steering pump, he wasn't gonna pay for it. He was trying to get me to pay for it so we ended up splitting it then after that, there is a gas smell coming from the car, he wouldn't let me take the car because he said if it catches fire, or anything else he would be liable, so guess what I have to pay for that too. He promised me that the car was good. He just put a used engine in it and that all it needed was an alignment. Well about a week ago, the radiator blew, and I checked the oil and so did the head gasket! I have a good relationship with my landlord, who is a good businessman he saw how upset I was and wanted to help. Fernando made no attempt to right the wrong, made no attempt to offer to fix it, or swap out for another car. This guy is a thief, a rip off and a con-artist, just to let you know how upset I am. If he was on fire, I would not give him a hose to put out the fire! never go this place he will rip you off!!!! Oh, and also, he never answered the phone when I called, never responded to text, we even sent him a certified letter no response. That's how you run a business......

My Jeep broke down literally across the street from this business. They saved me from a tight spot, gave me a great deal and were so honest.First, Rey came right over to give me a jump so I could get my car out of the business entrance I was blocking and limp over to their garage. He immediately diagnosed the faulty alternator and possible battery issues. It just so happens i only *look* like a clueless millenial chick, but really I've been learning to work on my own classic car project truck for the last 2 years, so I fully understood the problem and cost to fix. What they ended up charging me was barely what it would have cost me to go buy the new alternator and battery at retail prices and replace them myself. Then, when I went to go pick it up, the owner Fernando texts me, "Oh, by the way, you didn't need a new battery after all, so please get your refund when you pick up."So honest!! I'm so impressed. Even though I can do a lot of things myself, I'm going to take the Jeep back to these guys if it needs anything because it's that good of a deal. I highly recommend them to anyone, but especially other women who might feel uncomfortable at car repair places. All the stars.

Avoid this business. We took our car in for an alignment. After two days, we were told they were busy and it would be another day. After four days we picked it up. I asked the mechanic there if he did the work. He said, "no, we don't do alignments". I asked the owner, Evereth, why it took four days for a simple alignment. His reply, "Cain's was busy". So, strike one - I wasn't told that they don't do alignments. Then, I noticed over 200 miles had been put on the car. I asked the owner who and how the (undisclosed) miles were put on the car, and his reply was "Cain's, (in San Rafael) had to road test it to Novato. Then, I see the receipt from Cain's. The work was completed by Cain's two days earlier, in the AM! Strike two. Moreover, in the car is a receipt from Burger King in Petaluma on Thursday night, two days after the alignment from Cain's was completed! When confronted by text about this, I received no response back from the owner. Strike three. Bottom line: The owner did not disclose they don't do alignments and took it elsewhere. Then our car was driven over 200 miles for over two days for personal use after we were told it was not ready to be picked up. And, instead of admitting this, the owner, not realizing the odometer readings, said Cain's had driven it to Novato to road test it. Sham business. Avoid.

LICENSE IS SUSPENDED BY THE BAR. THIS BUSINESS HAS A PENDING COMPLAINT BY THE STATE AG AGAINST THEM. THEY HELD MY CAR FOR 3 WEEKS. DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I had to recover my vehicle in the middle of a neighborhood in RICHMOND because he drove/moved my car, without authorization to Richmond. Has 2 shops - one in Corte Madera, another in San Rafael. Both are operating illegally. The State AG's complaint against this company is here: They are accused of fraud, false and misleading statements, working on cars without a license, improper billing. DO NOT USE THEM. Report them immediately to the BAR. SHUT THESE CLOWNS DOWN!!

I rarely write reviews but this shop is worth noting. Im a single woman living on a different coast than my entire family. My father and grandpa always used to handle my automotive issues. However, after years of searching, I finally found a professional shop that I can trust to give me the fairest rates in Marin. The manager Fernando, is personable, honest, and kind. Their auto technician, Omar Diaz, took such great care of me on several different occasions. One evening the window I had issues with, wouldn't close. All the shops were closing. I last minute rolled into this shop and without hesitation, Omar graciously stayed behind to make sure my window was fixed before I went home that night. Omar is kind, professional, and his customer service skills surpass what is expected. No matter what the issue, I am confident that I will be safe in my car. If anything isn't to my liking, I know Omar will make it right. His number one priority is my safety and I am grateful.

North Bay Automotive is fantastic! Not only we're they honest with me, their prices are a little lower and so far I've had my Oil changed there twice (cheapest deal in Marin), I just had a new Radiator put in. They searched for the cheapest, without an obscene mark-up.I'm originally from NYC, so this review could have gone either way.You won't regret giving them a shot.?
