Too bad they are likely the only shoe repair for miles. After keeping my handbag for an entire week they didn't bother to sew three inches on the strap until after I arrived to pick it up. No apologies; no discount until I complained about the $15 for a few minutes work. When I pointed out that the overlap of the strap was not straight (rushed sloppy work), the guy replies "this is a repair shop, not a factory!" Guess they don't care about customer service.

I took a pair of Chanel boots in because they were squeaking. they said come back in five days we will have them completed. went back it took them 30 minutes to find them. didn't even get to them. went back a third time. nothing done. they said theyd have to remove the sole. over a month goes by. they don't call to tell me they can't fix them but they go ahead and ruin my boots. so my husband went into pick them up. they lied to him. I inspected them when he got home with them and saw how they destroyed them! horrible place with a bunch of liars who destroy other peoples property. If I could give zero stars I would.

Really unacceptable service. I brought a pair of heels and a pair of tall boots to be repaired and cleaned. I returned today to pick them up 2 weeks post drop off. I was told that they decided that the heels could not be repaired and the boots had not yet been cleaned. The stitching repair on the boot was also subpar. This was a total waste of my time. The kicker was the attitude that I was given without any apology.

Took a high end expensive bag in for a corner touch up and clean. They did not clean the bag and the egdes look worse than before the touch up. I did not pay. Incredibly disappointing service and outcome:

These guys are amazing! Not only can they work wonders on old shoes and boots, they can do other things, as well e.g. repair briefcases, backpacks, suitcases, and belts. They even made new feet for my trekking poles! They are the best!

Everyone knows this place as a real gem. Great service, addicted to the people who work here, who somehow saved my favorite pair of silver shoes that a 6 y.o child drew black permanent marker on....and made them like new

Old World shoe repair. I live in So Ca and everytime I visit No Ca I get my boots and my husbands boots repaired. I love this place and the people working here are charming. Many generations family owned!

I wear my Clark's on a regular basis and it wasn't until I found a hole in my right shoe that I thought it was time for them to get some tlc. I didn't have any issues when I dropped them off at Martelli Brothers they mentioned that they needed to order my specific soles and that it would take about 2 weeks. The replacement soled took a little longer than expected to get shipped so it took them a bit longer to be ready for pick up. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the service

These guys really know their shoes! If you have a good pair of boots, they'll put on soles to make your boots last a lifetime. They're also, incidentally, very pleasant to do business with. Good guys.

Love this place. It's my go to whenever I need any repairs or maintenance for my leather boots. Would definitely recommend this place!

I went in to Martello Brothers for what seemed to me a pretty straightforward fix for my hiking boot. They agreed and within a few minutes they'd placed a stitch that made a huge difference in the usability of the boot. When I tried to pay they said , "It was just a single stitch" and they wouldn't take anything for it. Integrity and kindness. I will definitely go back there in the future with more substantial repairs.

I really hate to write a bad review for a small independently owned historic business, but after my first and last visit, I'm thoroughly dismayed at why anyone would go here for anything. If you want to make a visit to a Simpson's episode where Homer is running the nuclear power plant, then it might be worth the laugh, but I'd recommend rewatching the episode on tv as opposed to watching it play out in front of you.I go in with a pair of boots to be shined and a pair of shoes for repair. I'd read many of their yelp reviews and got the sense that a lot of Marin residents love this small business.I walk in at 12:40PM and the place looks like a menagerie of sorts, but hey this isn't unusual for a shoe repair shop. I did question why there was a mattress in the front of the store, but whatever floats your boat. The guys take my shoes and give me claim checks for each and tell me to come back a week later to pick them up. I come back on the day they tell me to and ask for my shoes and he asks me when they were supposed to be ready. I point to the claim checks and it says Tuesday. He does a tour around the shop and comes back and tells me to come back after 2pm. I see a sign on the desk that says pickups ready only after 2PM. I'm new, so I chalk it up to my being a first time customer and not knowing the rules. I return just after 2pm and once again present my claim checks, and he goes back into the abyss of the matrix once again and comes back after 10 minutes and says, we found one pair, but we can't find the other. "Do they have laces?" I tell him I can come back into the abyss and help him find my shoes and he says no, they've got it covered. He goes back to search once again for my shoes. This time another guy comes out and tells me they've found my shoes, but the repair hasn't been done. He asks me to come back in 30 minutes. What can I do, I go out and wait another 35 minutes and come back in for the 3rd time and present my claim checks to the original guy who looks at me like it's the first time he's laid eyes on me. I see my shoes laying on the table behind him and he heads back into the abyss to do another tour around to find my shoes. He comes back dumbfounded, and I tell him they're sitting on the table right behind him.If I hadn't just experienced this first hand, I'd think I'd seen it on a sitcom. Like someone mentioned in a previous review, "this place should be in a tv show". She's right on, because Marelli Brothers is a full on comedy sketch.
