John was awesome! I really like how we were able to inspect the car with him upon arrival and departure. He was extremely thorough when walking us through the fixings, and he could not have been more transparent about the time/price estimate. We originally came to John needing an emergency fix, but now we’ll come back for all our car related needs.

I have been taking my cars to Righetti for some time now, Steve and Roger are highly qualified mechanics who listen to what I may have to say about a particular problem, also I never feel like I'm being "up sold" at any time, they usually offer a few options depending on the circumstances, to sum up, very fair and I leave with the confidence that the repair is done correctly.

Perhaps the best in all California. Other mechanics call Steve Righetti when they are stuck with a problem. Steve is 100% honest. I dealt with them for 30 years and I wouldn't dream of buying a used car without him checking it out

John was recommended to me about 4 years ago by a friend. I was looking for a new mechanic that was honest, reasonably priced, and good at his job. John is all that and more. I trust him completely, and I do not take my car anywhere else. On numerous occasions, his honesty has saved me money. And he is a car "whisperer" capable of accurately diagnosing a problem in short order. He's also a very nice guy.Services: Brakes

Steve and Roger combine many, many decades of solid car repair experience. My 97 Toyota Camry with 350+K miles has been in excellent hands with them! Pricing is reasonable. They are also such nice people. I highly recommend Righetti Automotive!

John has been my mechanic for years. I have an older car and a limited budget. I completely trust him to fix what needs fixing and let me know what can wait. His prices are very reasonable as well. Wouldn't go to any other mechanic!

I recommend Steve Righitti who has Righitti Automotive (415)459-6651 . He services my Lexus 470 and all my friends are now going to him with rave reviews ; because he is honest . My close friend just took her Mercedes convertible there for repairs after being ripped off by other unethical shops and is very happy. Steve was reccomeded to by my orginal mechanic Mike Gomez of Gomez Auto who retired a few years ago. Righitti Automotive is at 3241 Kerner Blvd San Rafael CA 94901 United States . I drive a 1999 Lexus that hasn't had many problems over the years, but recently, I began to have issues with some of the bigger systems of the vehicle. After getting estimates from Lexus and a couple other local repair shops, I was referred to Righetti Automotive, and since taking it in to have them work on it, my car now runs better than it has for years - and the cost of the repair was significantly less than the other estimates I received. Steve and Roger know what they're doing, which is reflected in the fact that I've never had to take my car in for the same issue twice. They always make an effort to do the job correctly, and at a very fair price. I completely trust them and have referred friends and family to them with very positive feedback every time.

I feel very lucky to have found Steve Righetti as my mechanic. Friendly, honest, accommodating, and an unbelievable problem-solver. Steve and his team have been working on my Toyota 4Runner (3rd owner with 250k miles) for a couple of years now, and have been super reasonable with the small maintenance issues as well as a couple of big surprises that have come my way. Always happy to talk through their work and find the right way to a real solution. They've been very affordable, but don't mistake that for cheap work - I know that I'm getting real expert hands under the hood. In my experience they truly want to do right by their clients - I totally trust them with my vehicle. My reward is a car that runs better than the day I bought it. A truly awesome shop, the best I've found over 20 years in the county.

Righetti is Honest, friendly, PERIOD.. and doesn't over charge. I have a 2003 VW Jetta with 230k+ original miles, I couldn't get $800 for the VW if I traded it in for a new car, but it runs well! But also means I shouldn't spend a thousand dollars every time something breaks. So I went to his neighbor to blow out my drain plugs (common vw sunroof problem/Steve couldn't do it) and after that service (which the neighbor over charged 100% more than the dealership)neighbor estimated $400 to replace a dry/cracking brake valve/plastic tube that he noticed. Thankfully I said no and went to trustee Steve at Righetti's. He told me to stop by after work, I arrived at 5:30pm. Steve didn't have the part, so his partner Rodger drove to the parts store to pick it up. This was after 6pm! All said and done, Steve charged me $20 for the part and $30 for labor. I don't know how I found this shop, but so happy I did. He doesn't try to upsell me OEM parts for my car. He tries to get me the best deal to keep me safely on the road. I appreciate his honesty and his (and Rodgers) customer service. 5 stars guys!

When a local noticed my car smoking when I pulled into a San Rafael gas station, he recommended I reach out to Steve Righetti. He called him up, put me on the phone with him, and Steve was helping me out within fifteen minutes. Not only was Steve (and his colleague Roger) extremely efficient when troubleshooting my car's problem, but he was extremely kind. He recognized that I was having a rough day while traveling for family matters and kept me smiling while he worked. He was more than fair and did his best to pinpoint the issue at minimal cost, going so far as to drive down to pick up a part so that I could make my way back by the end of Saturday (instead of being stuck until Monday business resumed. He even called Monday morning to ensure I made it back to the South Bay safely--which I did. Take your business to Steve if you're looking for someone you can trust to do the job and treat you well. I'm extremely grateful I was pointed in his direction.
