I used HR Block last year to file my tax return as the office is located conveniently near where I live. They ready charged more than other tax services that my friends used, but I went with it. This year, I came back to the same person who helped me last year, and to my shocking surprise, the fees to file my simple, individual tax return with some forms this year was over $500 to file while he could only help me get back $646. Lots of people who have the same tax filing like mine have used Turbo Tax successfully. I am going to learn to file my own tax for sure after this year as my tax is that simple.
Of course I did not agree to use his services (HR Block services in general). My co-worker referred me to use her accountant who helped me getting back the same amount and his fee was $146. Bye bye HR Block, FOR GOOD!

Zero stars, not 1.
It’s impossible to get in touch with your tax-pro no matter how many “attempts” the receptionist do, or if they even do any.
Don’t waste your time with this office and save your time going somewhere else more organized and professional than this office is.

I would always recommend H&R Block to any persons preparing taxes. I heavily advise that you give your tax specialist ALL your documents for tax filling and ask complete pertanant questions relating to your individual needs, so that you have POM and no unwanted surprises after your current tax filling as not to disappoint. Otherwise they aim to please in any situation.
