DO NOT PUT YOUR PETS LIVES IN THIS COMPANY’S HANDS! They cancelled my auto-refill without notice because they closed a local location. I called them because I noticed I was low on my pet’s medication and they still didn’t notify me of the autofill cancellation or the fact the shipment was coming a week away instead of next day. So now I’m out of medication for my dog and scrambling to find another pharmacy. Thanks Brava for being the worst.

I have had nothing but positive experiences from this place. The staff, the customer service, the quick deliveries (sent with tracking info)… everything has been great. This is the only place I go to for my cat’s medication. I highly recommend!

Worked with Golden Gate (now Brava) for 8 years for multiple pets and have nothing but excellent experiences. Was worried when they changed their name, but customer service has become even better ! They called promptly with questions, friendly customer service and very fast shipping (even if not paid for expedited shipping). Having my cats medications compounded makes the entire otherwise stressful task to give meds actually a joyful event as they are getting their 'special treats'. Thankful for having this option. Now i find they have self-service online logins to order refills which is awesome as this makes the whole process even easier ! Thank you !

They communicate with my veterinarian when I need refills for my cat. I made a mistake trying to order on my phone and it was quickly resolved with a phone call. Time from ordering until delivery is always good, 1 or 2 days.

My Lincoln needed his heart meds right away. Person I talked to was very helpful and got them ordered and they are on there way by mail! Great service!

I like that they reminding you to refill your pet's prescription. They fill the prescription quickly, send you a text informing you that it's ready for pickup. Staff is helpful & friendly.

I was initially worried when GGVCP transitioned to Brava Pharmacy, as the transition period was not super smooth in terms of online refills, etc. However, a few key items have been vastly improved for me after the transition, which are actually more important for me:1. My refills are lightning fast now. Order processing used to take a few days or up to a week until they would ship. The last two times I have refilled my cat's meds, the shipping has been the same day! This literally never happened before and I couldn't be happier about it (since I can never remember to reorder until my bottle is nearly empty).2. Brava changed the formulation of one of my cat's meds to a shelf stable formula. The alleviated the need for very costly overnight shipping and has saved me a ton of money!I have not tried to refill orders online yet, but it looks like it might be possible now? Anyway, the phone ordering is very fast, and these two changes above have made a great impression on me. Thank you Brava!

I happily used Golden Gate Veterinary Compounding Pharmacy for years, but the transition to Brava last year has been bad. My prescription/account information was not transferred as they said it would be and even after I phoned in a refill to Brava months ago there is no order history in my account to request a refill. I also noticed the transdermal cream I have been ordering for my cat for years looked different when filled by Brava. The cream was white, rather than the cream/yellowish color it has always been. I feel like they may have missed including the medication because I've noticed a regression in my cats behavior, more like before she started the medication. Might be time to look for a new pharmacy.

I'm a client in 2 ways. I use them for my own pet's compounded medications and also for my clients at the vet hospital I work at. Their prices are comparable, if not better, than most compounding pharmacies. Turn around time is great! I ordered on Wednesday and got my delivery by standard USPS mail Friday (no shipping cost!). We order their meds for in hospital use as well.I want to shout out MARJORIE. She's always so kind and efficient.

I was using GGVCP for my dog with heart failure (he passed away in February). I wanted to look at some antibiotics I might need for my current dog, as she is picky. GGVCP was pretty good, and I figured my picky dog would like the soft chews.However, it looks like the pharmacy has gone corporate. They are now called BravaCare. My account is gone and there is no way to make an account that I can see.Suffice to say, if they've gone corporate, then it's extremely likely their prices have risen and service has plummeted. It's a shame, because I was recommending GGVCP to friends and family but now I will be retracting those recommendations.With no way to make an account, I can't check if they have the medicine I need, what doses, what forms, and most of all, what the pricing is. Why GGVCP made this disastrous and disappointing decision to go corporate, I will never understand.

I see lots of negative reviews posted and was keeping my fingers crossed when I submitted a med Rx. My Vet. uses this pharmacy. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised to receive such professional and efficient service. Folks were pleasant and helpful on the phone and my pet's medication was prepared earlier than expected. I do live locally and picked up from the Novato office. (FYI- was informed that Monday is a very busy day, so not the best day to try to call.)

i used to call in scripts back in the days of Ryan pharmacist (over 20/yrs ago) and it was par excellence! have worked at numerous practices and always told clients to use GGP plus it is much more humane if the animal needs meds. Especially felines with pills. I also offer behavioral help & contracted to do house calls for various reasons so for 25yrs i was an excellent referring person for them. Bc vets still dont use compounding pharms. Although i use holistic, when it's hospice or necessary i will use meds for my critters. I have also used GGP for my pets at different times over the last 20 yrs and always had a very good experience until today. After today's call and 35 minutes with multiple calls, am taking my business elsewhere. Office staff really does not care about your business or pet status bc they are too busy. great for them! I remember the opening days And what a treasure the staff was. Today One of the office staff was likely stressed from orders but found her passive aggressive and very difficult an rx was called in wed, yesterday & she refused to get it out today for my hospice kitty. I would likely not get until next monday, even if overnight according to her. She kept trying to make it sound like she didn't have my info or just putting the brakes on, and mentioned that overnight wasnt worth it since it's now thursday and they won't send it out today due to time but then would change the story I called at 10:19 am (before deadline for day) and left a message to have it approved, When i was finally able to connect i had spoken w 3 separate people and that was 35 minutes and by the time I spoke with her at 12: 30 she refused to have it sent out Thursday. i have time stamp at 10:19am that i left a VM asking them to send it. if they looked in their records, they may realize i am an old client, I then called to tell her to transfer to feel good compounders and she told me to have my busy house call vet call it in To them Legally, she is required to transfer the script, if requested to another pharmacy. I had to inform her of that. Her customer service was horrible. They actually don't want your business bc they have thousands of customers. I am giving 3 stars solely bc of Ryan in past and bc compounding is more humane for animals if transdermal etc . Am sure the pharmacists are great but office staff needs training . and the phone line situatio was a mess! 9 calls, on hold with music, yet they are calling me at same time several times

Wow, I am very shocked to see the negative reviews for GGVC. I have had nothing but positive experiences with them over the past four years. In my experience they answer their phones very quickly, leave detailed phone messages, and have also been super helpful.I am in Berkeley and I have driven to Novato twice to pick up meds that I needed ASAP. GGVC has always worked with me to expedite the order whenever it is possible. Of course, this is not always something that can be done because of staffing, supply chain, and alot of orders, but they have always been polite and willing to help me whenever possible.My cat is super picky and I have had many things compounded by GGVC and appreciated them sending me a sample (free of charge and no shipping) of the different flavor chews they can compound.My experience has been that it takes about a week to get my meds after my doctor has called in the rx. Usually they can fill in 2-4 days and then ship out and the meds are delivered in 1-2 days.I am leaving a review because I had to search online for their contact number and I saw the low Yelp reviews on the search results and needed to add my experience to the page since it is so wildly different than the most recent reviews. I would also suggest you check out the reviews on the "other" search engine site - they are much higher and much more accurate, imo.
