Why I give them 4, not 5: Have always gotten excellent care from the veterinarians here, most recently Dr. Nordberg. I was disappointed that my dog’s most recent Rx’s, which we obtain from an online pharmacy, were delayed due to this practice’s not notifying the pharmacy of the doctor’s approval. When I was there for my dog’s exam and immunizations, I asked for a small bridge supply to cover the delay, and was told that there would be no samples but I could pay an exaggerated price for a week or 2 weeks’ supply.

I love this veterinarian clinic. They saved my slightly older cat’s life. Literally. At Christmas. We just brought our new rescue baby in for a check up and vax. She remembered our other cat from 8 months ago. Asked specifics about how he was doing. She showered the little one with enthusiasm, and great advice for us, about the baby cat, and integrating the two. Much appreciated. We got a very extensive summary cornering all sorts of topics on Kitten care. Assured us all was well. Set up what we need to do next. The vet tech was equally engaging. And it’s reasonable!!! We could have gotten a free check up if we affiliated with the resources the Humane Society, which I appreciated, but after our experience last Christmas we wanted to establish the relationship here! Thank you East San Rafael Veterinary Clinic team! 100 percent pleased.

Love this Vet clinic! Every veterinarian I’ve seen (at least 4 or 5 over the years) have all been caring, knowledgeable and responsive. We’ve gotten weekend calls with lab results which we greatly appreciate. They discuss options and are never pushy, letting us decide the path of care. Highly recommend!

they've taken great care of our pets throughout the years. i feel a deep connection with East San Rafael Clinic. My dogs and kitties love them! They have a wonderful team of vets and techs and staff. i always feel like we get the best attention and i can only assume everyone feels that way!

I am currently petsitting a new dog, and within a few days, I noticed he was scratching his ear & shaking his head after letting him out one morning. His owners told me to take him here. The staff was so friendly and even kept giving him treats to motivate him to walk or else he would just stay in place haha

We had to put our fur baby, Hershey, to sleep this past Tuesday. Dr. Schneider and the entire team were so compassionate and professional from the time we walked until we left. They have a special, quiet and private room with comforting decor. In addition to dealing with the payment before the procedure, they let you hold your baby while they do it. Much appreciation to Dr S and the ESRV team.

Our pup needed surgery, and they were fantastic with her! The vet there squeezed us into the schedule, took care of our pup, and was super helpful with the advice and discharge instructions, and super patient during follow up calls with our questions. I couldn’t recommend them more!

They are the best vet. Seriously these people care about your animals. I’ve had some big emergencies and small little things to talk to them about and they’re always very welcoming and can quickly take my calls.

We live in SF and make the drive to Marin to go to this wonderful vet clinic. We typically see Dr Sierra who has been our vet for many years, but we've seen other doctors when he's unavailable and they are just as great! Everyone is so kind there too - it's not often lately that you get such warmhearted service somewhere, but we always do there.

Getting an appointment with a veterinarian in a timely fashion is rare these days unless you have an acute emergency. However, the East San Rafael Clinic was able to see our ailing pup within a few days. The staff is professional and friendly and they know how to interact with animals as an expert should. The doctors did put some effort into minimizing expenses while still providing the necessary tests and treatments to solve our problem and get our doggy back to health. Still, the expenses always do seem to be exuberant and can end up being a barrier to properly treating any issues that are more involved than a simple UTI...
But this is an amazing community vet in Marin County and is my local home clinic where my dog will continue to get care from.
