Small hardware store with lots of stuff. They didn't stock the mitre box with mitre saw combination that I wanted but did stock the more expensive combination. They knew right where to look for it.

They just lost a life long customer today. I like to support small local businesses and have been shopping here for years. Customer service isn't always great depending on who is in the store that day, but the good employees make up for the poor ones so I continued to shop there. They do not have the extensive selection that home depot has, but everytime i've went there I left with what I needed. I have been doing some work on my home recently and have been going in there every other day to get items needed do some repairs on my home. I had an old 5 gallon bucket of Bher paint that the crew who painted my house bought at home depot and left with me incase I ever need to do any repairs. I went in yesterday to ask if I brought it in if they would be able to put it in their mixer and shake it for me and the very helpful polite employee said yes that would be no problem. I wish I knew his name so I could give him a shout out. He was a taller white man who looked like he may be in his ealry 30s. Anyways I bring the 5 gallon bucket in today and ask the cashier if he could have it shooken to mix it. He goes in the back and gets an older man with gray and white hair, looks like he can be white or hispanic. He comes out and sees that it is a home depot brand paint and says no we won't do that, take it to home depot that's their paint they wil do it there for you. I knew that he was just upset that the paint wasn't purchased there and I just picked it up and started walking to the door as he continued to tell me that its home depot paint. Rather than giving good customer service and mix the paint for me which would have only took a minute or two. He decided to be petty and lost a customer. Now anytime anyone asks me about that place I will just recommend home depot or ace hardware. Im not sure if that was the owner of the shop, if not, whoever the owner is should have a talk with their employees about customer service and giving you're customers an experience that will make them come back. Its not always about having what the customer needs in stock and a good price, but actually being helpful and respectful. You guys don't have everything, the prices are more expensive than the bigger stores and half of the employees are rude. The only reason I shopped there is to support small local businesses, but its hard when you don't support your customers.....
