Great experience with Lou’s. Josh was very responsive. The job was finished quickly and very professionally. Manuel, the tile installer, paid attention to detail, which is very important to me. They left the job site very clean. Couldn’t be happier with the whole experience.
7/24 Tile is still perfect and we enjoy it every day!

Our experience with Lou's Flooring was exceptional. From start to finish, Josh and his team delivered beyond our expectations. Josh's dedication to understanding our needs and providing innovative solutions made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. The crew's professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to cleanliness ensured a great experience. We were extremely pleased that they met the anticipated schedule for finishing the project. Lou's is a general contractor, so I'm happy to say we will choose them again for future projects, as well as recommend them to our friends and family.

We hired Lou’s to replace our kitchen floor. It was a tough job to work around our existing waterfall island ( and to fix all of the previous contractors mistakes) but they did an amazing job. The communication with Josh was excellent, the crew was professional and the work was completed as scheduled. They really took care of every detail and made sure we were completely happy with the work. My experience with them was positive from start to finish, I would definitely recommend working with Lou’s flooring!

We were looking to have carpeting installed on our steps, hallway and bedrooms, and were drawn to Lou's because of its many stellar reviews and their very close proximity to our home. Due to circumstances, neither of us were able to visit Lou's showroom to select carpeting, so Josh Ripouli was graciously willing to bring samples to us. Once we made our selection and a price and installation date was agreed upon, work began. We were quite impressed with the degree of expertise (who knew that "carpet college" was such a thing?!), attention to detail and the outstanding (extra) work performed by the installers. Also, every stick of furniture was placed back exactly where it belonged. Josh was wonderfully patient with us every step of the way too. No detail was left unaddressed and every expectation was met, and then some!

Flooring - good selection of materials and styles. We chose a rustic wide plank laminate for our "old English " kitchen. Flooring was delivered on time. The installer was knowledgeable and efficient. He also worked with us to achieve a seamless transition to the dining floor. Installed paper barrier that prevents squeaks. As is my way, I pre-prepared the subfloor by recessing all fasteners and floor sanding the subfloor for a flat surface. Installation was quick and product has proved durable.

We found Lou's Floor & General Contracting store in the local market.Got the Bathroom Re-done first and liked the work that was done. Josh was very Friendly & helpful and the work was completed well before time and done well.A Month later when we were moving out of town we gave Josh the keys to get the house painted, and the flooring, and carpeting to be re done.Josh went out of his way to help and coordinate with suggestions and photographs throughout the entire job.Everything and much more was done to perfection right from choosing the colors for the walls, and the laminate for the floor and carpets for the bedrooms to the finish, and repairing & cleaning up after that.We are grateful to Josh for his help and will not hesitate to recommend or use his service again sometime soon. We’ve done many construction projects with several contractors. With Lou’s we started a total floor refinishing and indoor painting during the pandemic. Gave our contractor,Josh, the key and moved into a hotel. Came back about 3 weeks later to a perfect job. I was executor for a friend of mine who had a condo in need of freshening up and some flooring repair prior to listing it for sale. Josh was so attentive and helpful...I live out of the area but Josh was my eyes and ears on site. He gave me options for flooring repair/replacement; carpeting suggestions and was immediately reponsive to any questions I had. He coordinated the repair/replacement and refinishing of oak flooring, installed carpeting, coordinated painting of all rooms, organized electrician to update outlets / plates to uniform color and install up to code smoke and CO detectors throughout the unit.I never had to chase him down as he was always a step ahead and regularly calling or texting me with updates on the progress since I couldn't be there myself. He went above and beyond and truly cared that we were getting good quality materials yet at a reasonable price, knowing that we were simply trying to get it ready for resale. It has been a long time since I have received one-stop service like this - I highly recommend Josh and Lou's Floor - you won't regret it.Services: Paint indoors

Great personalities (Lou and his son Josh) but unfortunately they sub-contracted my work and it wasn't worth what I paid. I trusted them and got screwed. There are better small businesses in San Pedro than this outfit. PLEASE AVOID!Service: Install flooring

All the reviews are 100% right - Lou's Floor is the best. We just moved to the South Bay and wanted to get new kitchen countertops for our rental unit. I called and got bids from several places. Since this was my first time doing any sort of remodeling or house renovations, I wanted to be absolutely sure we go with the right people because I've heard horror stories. If you don't want to read my novel about the ins and outs of praising Lou's Floor for their work - just stop here and give them a call because you will be in good hands!!! But if you'd like to understand why, please read on :-) Josh came out and provided an in person estimate and right off the bat - I liked his energy and vibe. He was not pushy, provided great suggestions on placement and possible design ideas, and was not sales-y at all which I appreciated. Because of that, I asked him if he could also give me an estimate on the floors for my actual house. We needed our floors redone and while we were thinking we could DIY it ourselves... we knew we were handy, but just not THAT good to tackle flooring, especially since we were on a tight time frame since we had to move our things in. Josh provided 2 quotes - one for our kitchen and one for the floors. To be completely transparent, Lou's Floor was not our cheapest bid we got BUT their prices are very reasonable and Josh worked with us to make things happen within our budget without sacrificing quality. We knew were were in good hands just based off of him and how he represented the company. When all is said and done, the quality of their work was worth us spending a bit extra because quality and experience speaks volumes. We are very happy with the way our kitchen turned out and appreciate the wonderful suggestions Josh had to make the look come together. I also appreciated all of his help in picking out the right floors for our house as well. We've already gotten so many compliments from our family on the kitchen and floors (and I mean, that's all I wanted was the compliments, so thanks Josh and team!). What I really appreciated most was how quickly he got our floors installed so that we could move our things in time!! That in itself should earn them 10 stars. All of the crew that came to do the work were friendly, clean, and on time. They were respectful of the place and Josh did a great job on communicating with us the entire time. We are so happy that I've joked that we opened a running tab with Lou's Floor because they are now doing my blinds and will come back to do the big kitchen remodel in our house! He's also given me a few great referrals for the South Bay. Thank you Lou's Floor and Josh. You have gained happy and loyal customers for all of our remodel needs.

I needed new floors in the kitchen and bathroom in one of our triplex units and wanted something 'green.' Josh knew about marmoleum when I asked - and Chris did a fabulous job installing it. When there was a small glitch with an issue reseating the toilet they covered it. Communication was great beginning to end- a big plus! I knew when someone would be here-- and he was! Quality and professionalism at a fair price in a local business !!!

if i could give a 10 star rating i would!! seriously the best company to hire, look no further! josh is exceptional!!! friendly, patient, very very organized, always follows up, has exception crew working on every aspect! really, i could go on and on about this company. they just did big job can lighting, kitchen remodel, all electrial throughout house, outside lighting, carpeting...list goes on..it was all done to perfection! i used in past for entire house window coverings and exact same experience! look no further!

We really appreciated the time and effort they put into our carpets. We had very loose carpets that needed some cleaning. Josh and his team did a great job putting in time and effort to make them look new. They arrived 10 mins early ready to work and even helped us move the last 2 things out of the room that we were working on. We had gotten our carpets cleaned once before and they were just left drenched and dirtier then before but this was a total 180 from that experience. The price we got quoted was even better than some of their competitors. They made quick work finishing everything in less than 4 hours total and left the house spotless. Josh gave us a good honest quote rather than having us do the carpets everywhere we decided to focus on a few rooms. It was a refreshing experience and they were able to get us in just a week after our estimate. We already have recommended them to our neighbors. The only thing that didn't go as smooth was just having to reach out a second time since they apparently misplaced our initial info when we stopped in- but after a quick call I got a call back less than an hour later setting up an appointment.
