The younger guy who works there is super accommodating. The old dude? (Chris, probably?)... not so much. I had a really great experience here with my Prius during a previous issue, and when it started "knocking" with the engine light on right around the corner, Jim's was my first choice to take my car. I explained what was happening (once the grumpy guy behind the desk decided to notice I was there) and he told me to "make an appointment". It really wasn't a good idea to continue driving the car. Like, I get it if you are busy. Say you are "busy", but don't patronize a potential local (returning) customer. Ended up taking my car to the Toy Shop in Lomita.

Best car service in town. Brought in my honda accord and was cared for like it was their own.The guys their are very friendly and helpful. Hard to find a shop that is honest. Have no thoughts if I brought it to wrong shop or not.

Best mechanic I've had the pleasure of working with for quite sometime. It takes years to find a good mechanic that will take care of you and your car. Jim and his team are world class. They don't Micky mouse things. Everything is done 100% and they won't upsell you things that aren't needed. What a blessing.

I had a chance to go by Japanese Auto service yesterday or Jim's car service as it's listed on their business card... I was a little bit worried that no one answered the phone when I called. But the owner Jim called me back and scheduled the appointment for my 2012 Toyota Camry. I was having an issue with the seat belt and the airbag light flashing all the time. Jim told me he thought he could fix the problem he said, if he couldn't fix it he wouldn't charge me anything. That sounded Fair but it also left me on the hook for whatever he wanted if he did fix it. All said and done when I came back the next day and the rate was only 1 hours labor. I was very happy. He also did a safety inspection and make sure that everything else was working okay and who test drove the vehicle twice which was very very nice.. the scale of 1 to 10 I guess I give these guys at 10 plus very happy with the overall service thank you Jim and the fellas over there... Just want to let all you yelpers know you can trust this guy because you could have charged more but he didn't and he could have tried to do more but he didn't he did just what we asked him to do...

I love this place because they ALWAYS do the right thing and I'm talking about an AUTO REPAIR business!! The mechanics are top-knotched professionals always. When you go to turn your car in, you don't feel you have to be "on guard" at all times. During these economic times, every cent counts and as a great added bonus, their mechanics KNOW what they are doing!! This is fantastic!
