Sharon helped me and my family out with the assistance we were seeking. It required patience because nothing is overnight. She was a God send. Thank you Sharon. This put me and my family back on track.

Not equipped to properly assess clients based on their overall level of care thats needed for each individual. So, sad to say... their being ushered into these shelters where it's far from the help they need, then what happens is that for any plethora of minor infractions, they're thrown right back on to the cold streets where they're seeking shelter from in the first place! It's sad because these people need help, not to be thrown back onto the asphalt where there is absolutely no care whatsoever. Another thing is they allow animals there...! Really!!! You'll house someone who cannot take proper care of themselves, and not only that, allowing someone to bring an animal in is beyond common logic to say the very least...! But... They'll have the animals there with the humans, while humans are being put out back onto the streets! Where there is hardly a welcoming restroom to find, let alone the basic necessities such as a place to sleep, a shower, a sink, and a working toilet to say the very least!Myself, a client there get to see things first hand. They never have any toilet paper, in any of the stalls. There is no soap in the sink area, ever. They have meetings about people "stealing the toilet paper, but the sad fact is that there is never any in the first place...!!! Wonder where all the caseworker funding goes? Not to mention the soap and toiletries funding?Because they are not properly addressing the problem of homelessness and in the business of compassionately helping people and properly addressing the specific client needs...! (emphasis mine!) This place, with however-much-funding is provided, is an "Us against-Them vibe, where the majority of staff that work there are doing whatever it is they want, including getting high...and none say "hey, how can I help you..."407 N. Beacon St. San Pedro, CA. 90731Part 2, of my review. Seems that it'd be needing some further updating as time progresses. On this day, needless to say things at the "Not OK Corral," went beyond normal procedure in what was, in my opinion.." A tragic waste of public funding, and a blatant misuse of power!" Not only did the conglomerate converge and engage in military-style tactics in their quest for "contraband, while having the homeless patrons all outside while conducting their search, but time and resources that could've been put to better use, were tossed aside in pursuit of policing the poor and vulnerable folks who need help, and not harassment. However, such is not the case when dealing with the authoritarian mindset, coupled with the "Us against them Ideology," where it is easier to exit someone from the program (and cheaper to) than to actually encourage productivity and help them progress towards fulfillment and a life free from the confinements of having to seek help from "so called helpful organizations."Such nonexistent and not OK, at the "Not-OK Corral."

Constantly lose / misplace peoples important personal documents like PHOTOiD, SSN, shot records , birth certificates etc probably doing fraud don’t understand how they can lose someone’s documents once is a mistake , twice is a coincidence three times maybe but for five times y’all are doing something you shouldn’t do . I never was able to receive help from this facility from what I’ve seen over the course of many years is that they only help people deep on drugs. All the people that should get help or at least sympathy don’t . the ones that are very questionable do . I think it’s time this facility should be audited an investigated in who they help and where it’s all going to .

very hard to get help . Majority of the staff are terrible and unresponsive and the supervisors are no good so who do you complain too ... Me and my children did receive help after going through hell and unprofessionalism . The staff doesn't realize our lives are at steak or stability is at steak .

These people started a "services" center right by one of my favorite restaurants... Don't send the rabble to Iron City Tavern to mess up the bathrooms...

This place sells lies. They don't help with anything! I filled out a application for the transitional housing program and they said that they are repairing the apartment I was approved for in July 2022. They kept giving me the run around about the repairs still haven't been fixed due to plumbing issues in several buildings they own and they are "short staffed" so no one can fix my apartment that I was approved for. It is currently march 2023 and I keep getting the same excuses. I have a 17 month old baby and they do NOT CARE. I have contacted the Director and left multiple voice messages. I don't get any call backs. I stayed in this building as a adolescent with my mother and she never had these issues. Whoever is running this place is stealing funding and now they can't help people! I have been staying couch to couch and they don't care. On top of all of this they asked me to redo my application!!! Why? I was already approved l! Red flag!!

I don't recommend this place. People going through hardships don't need more pain on top of everything. Like another poster, my business was made public by one individual. Never ok. I will add that there are some kind people who work here and I do have gratitude for them. I still recommend Toberman or elsewhere.
