“One of the coolest grocery stores I've ever been to! There is truly something for everyone here from the vast selection of colorful produce to artisan bread to locally prepared foods. While some items are a bit pricey, you can definitely shop here on a budget if you know what to pick. Additionally, the store is both vegan/vegetarian friendly and I think has a great policy on waste. Many items like cashews are kept in bulk to reduce on plastic. If you like fresh food or simply a solid unique grocery store, the Berkeley Bowl is the way to go!”

“This is a pretty amazing grocery store if you're looking for produce. It's basically a farmer's market indoors. Best mushroom selection I've seen anywhere. Prices are high, but you get what you pay for. Convenient parking in a very congested little parking lot.”

“Cute little market. It has everything you need and want and the candy section is phenomenal!! Haha. I hadn't had candy during my stay in Pt. Reyes (two weeks) until I decided to stop here. The owner was very kind and even chatted with me about his mutual love for candy. HeheThere's a market in Pt. Reyes station, but that can be far if you're already going up to the Northernmost part of the peninsula (or coming back). It's also very busy there.”

“I had a lunch with my kid on Friday, the guy behind the register was amazing, great attitude and super service however, the chicken came uncooked, again the cashier took it back to finish cooking it. How do you hire a cheff that does not know when the meet is or is not cooked?”

“Love this place!! It's a block & a half from our home & the owners/employees are great! They are one of very few retailers who sell my favorite soda! “Wow! Where else can you find a meat market with Picanha Brazilian cut , and just about every worthy Latin American and Mexican products under one roof? Excellent assortment of delicious products to make your feijoada (bean stew), coxinha (Brazilian appetizers), pao de queijo (cheese bread). Darn, I just gained ten lbs. thinking about churrascaria!”

“Every time I stop in the shattuck market, I find exactly what I’m looking for! The dates are always current… yesterday the milk had a much better date than at the bigger stores! The veggies even look fresh… yay!”

“I come here on the way home in the afternoon fairly regularly to get a six pack of beer. Lagunitas beer is competitively priced, though I do notice that depending on the person and/or the day the cost of the same six pack can fluctuate almost a dollar and I'm not sure why that is. Even at the higher end of the price range, it's still usually the same or lower than a few other convenience type stores nearby. Employees are at least polite and many times genuinely friendly. Pro tip: the Indian food next door is REALLY good and highly recommended! It looks kind of dumpy and doesn't open until 4pm but it's a hidden gem.”

“Last year the meat department was helpful and was able to hold the links I asked for until I got there. This year they were helpful with information on when they were getting then in.”

“Very nice large grocery store. Mid priced, big store, good selection of grocery items. Normally pretty quick to check out, both self checkout and full service cashier.”

“There is usually a guy out front asking for change. No biggie, that's everywhere. Could be 5/5 if the checkout lanes were faster. I have to lock up and leave my bicycle outside and I do become nervous if I'm taking awhile to checkout. The day my bike gets stolen is the day I'll change my rating probably lol And you gotta get the app unfortunately if you want to pay other bills”

“I wanted to find some sardine resources to stock up on for guests that I know who enjoy them and we make a sardine sandwich. Then I remembered I do have a membership, my guest were very happy. Different taste with different people.”

“My mom is doing home dialysis and this store sells a medical tape I use for her exit site. It's the only non medical store I've found which sells it. I like it because it's easy to tear and doesn't stick to my fingers so much. It's also very inexpensive.”
