Okay, there might be a lot to unravel but I’m going to try and keep this all brief. The place was very cool to say the least first off. Untill the day started passing, more and more odd things started to happen. I was walking about checking out the place to find a couple vending machines and open space. As I was going back to my room a shifty person walks up to me asking for all sorts of drugs, I wasn’t even wearing the assuming clothing of what a criminal dealer would wear. After talking off the stranger I settle in my room, they had a microwave and a mini fridge, one with those mini freezers too. Along with bucket for ice and wrapped cups of course, pretty much all containers were wrapped with thin bags. As it got later I prepared to shower, the bathroom was very clean surprisingly except the tub, there was little Knicks and water stains about but nothing too serious or unhealthy. All rags and towels were clean and toilet was too, there was even a flower shaped ply of toilet paper pressed into the roll which was nice. After showering, all hell starts to break loose but before I start trying to blame the inn late me make it clear that the San Pablo community isn’t the best. With that being said after the shower I got ready for bed and started relaxing on my phone, I’m a night owl so I usually go to bed at 11 but I was woken up by doors slamming and, what I thought was, someone getting jumped at their door next too my room on the second floor same as me. It was pretty intense because they seemed all drunk and blacked out. This kept going on untill like 1 AM because they where boasting about the whole thing laughing and going in and out. It was ridiculous as I was trying to fix my sleep schedule. I only had the room for a night and it would probably be my last, sorry Rodeway but don’t blame me, blame the people that were allowed to stay at the Inn.Rooms: The rooms are proportionate to value. Smoking and non-smoking rooms.Nearby activities: There are parks near by but they are pretty hidden by the way the infrastructure is. Closest one is about a minute walk away. (Wanlas park)Walkability: There are liquor stores and a coffee/sandwich shop nearby. About 5 minutes away is a supermarket and a mini shopping plaza with food and a Walgreens for any basic necessities and potentially clothing.Food & drinks: There is a coffee/sandwich shop near the intersection.

Customer service is TRASH ! Because I have my preferred name on my card & it’s not the name on my ID , I couldn’t get in when I can get into way better hotels with my card, work ID & real Arizona ID so this whole experience just sucked ! Honestly I think it was discrimination because the person in line in front of me didn’t have to show ID At all on an online booking!

Front desk guy was not nice and courteous at all. I left a item in the room and the guy said nothing was turned in. I then ask if he can ask the house keeper to see if she/he may have. Then he tells me that they just throw it away if it's not turn in and then pointed at their sign. I came back the next day and they have no courteous at all.

Don’t stay here. It smells like roach infestation, and you can see the excrement still stuck on the corners. And the bed is gross and not clean. I tried getting my money back with no luck. Just avoid it.. Health inspector!!!!

No heating! I froze to death all night long in winter season. The bedsheets are dirty with crumbs lying around and cigarette holes in them. I wonder when's the last time anyone cleaned these. The bathroom is tiny, cramped, with the cheapest shampoo and soap bar quality. Rude, noisy guests. I was robbed of $100 for one night - never making that mistake again!!!Shitty, filthy place and shady af. Save your goddamn money.

Very small but functional room. The room seemed to have had some upgrades to it, but failed completion of those upgrades. The bed was comfortable, the towels were soft, the air-conditioning worked, the refrigerator worked, and the TV was modern and worked. There was also a small microwave, but I did not use it, so I cannot say anything about it one way or the other. The bedside phone did not have a dial tone, so I was unable to contact the front desk when I was having trouble with the people upstairs from us.The window had modern large slat shutters, which I really liked - much better than curtains that never seem to close properly and always seem to collect too much dust/dirt. The floor was tile, which I also liked because it means years worth of filth isn't collected under your feet. The only downside is that is can be quite cold on bare feet. There was a small table and two chairs. There were very nice pot lights in the ceiling with light switches on either side of the bed to control them, instead of bulky lamps. The glaring failure of the room was in the bathroom: the plaster/drywall might have been better as tile, since it was crumbling in several places, and the bathtub was old and gross looking with chips in the porcelain, rust, and overall just a dirty, grimy look to the bottom of the tub. The sink looked modern, but that seems to have been where the bathroom upgrades ended. The walls of the room were thin, sooverhearing the neighboring guests was a problem. When there was an all night party in the room above us on our 2nd night, reaching someone at the front desk was impossible.I had to call the online company I made the reservation through to advise them of the problem, and even they could not reach anyone at the front desk. Even as we were checking out, the room upstairs was still going: talking, shouting, banging, crashing, stomping around... I did advise the manager of this as we left, and he turned to someone else and told him they needed to be kicked out. That is all well and good, but that does not fix my problem. I spent the entire night sleepless and no offer was made to refund any portion of the money for that night, or to compensate us in any way.We had stayed there 2 nights, and my expectation was compensation only for that one night. I again contacted the reservation company, who spoke with the manger, but the manager refused any compensation. The quality of a room is important to me, but customer service is even more important. With the inability to reach anyone at any point during that night to address the issue, and ultimately not being offered any sort of compensation for a night without sleep due to that party upstairs, I feel like this hotel let me down. I will NOT be staying here again - or any other Rodeway Inn.

Gross! The super TINY room smelled like cigarettes and dirt. I saw a ROACH running around in the bathroom, so I kept the lights on all night. The TV doesn't work and only has sound with no picture. The bed has cigarette burn holes and STAINS. The walls look dirty and the bathtub was black with dirt stains. I need to bleach myself! This dump is too overpriced. They charge about the same prices as their superior competitors. I should've rent to Motel 6 for about the same price but slightly better quality. The only positives are that the wifii worked well and the front desk was nice and fast. Don't be cheap! Spend an extra 40 for a better motel.

So at first this place was nice the manager has no heart for people at all me and my family are homeless and when we had to check out we had to be outside all night because of no transportation and no money until someone had helped us out at 12am yes I will admit that my son got upset and hit his wall because all he asked was if the man could charge the phone so we could get help he said no and my teenager got upset and hit the wall he now is saying I am not allowed there no more this place is not for family's at all! This manager has no heart and he admitted it too I wish I had been able to record this all but no phone.

Hotel changed it's name from Sands inn.Careful of the price. Book online or you might get charged double. The staff is nice.Bed was comfortable but the bathroom is very small. The place is clean. Not my usual choice but it will work for now.Not a place for children, lots of people coming and going all night. Just a thing.

Was told one price on the phone, then we're heavily overcharged for the room when we got there. Took our deposit the next am after saying we had a pet in the room, when we didn't. Refused to review cameras with me to prove their claims. VERY RUDE
