“I don't usually comment on places but I experienced my first male Karen moment. It was thrilling. So thrilling that I fumbled with my phone and only caught the last part as he did his walk of shame out of the door as everyone was left in silence. This man clomped up to the counter and the woman working, Phoung, kindly greeted him and asked him what he needed. The man cut her off and said, I DONT NEED YOU TO ASK ME ANYTHING. I DON'T NEED STAMPS. I JUST NEED YOU TO DO WHAT I ASK YOU TO!! He spoke to her like they were in the middle of a heated argument. This woman, mind you, had her scale to weigh packages malfunction, her computer decided that it didn't want to work anymore and had to restart it working ALL BY HERSELF on a Friday around lunchtime. She really wanted to do a good job so she managed to work it out while the line grew. If anyone reading this were spoken to the way he did you would've had to use all your God given strength not to go nuclear, hop over that counter and made him eat those words. I was on the side ready to say something but Phoung had it covered. She responded in kind with the addition of respect saying, I just asked what you needed so there wouldn't be any misunderstandings!! Then SHE apologized for the miscommunication for reasons unknown. Be kind people or you might just run into someone who will give it right back to you. Thanks Phoung!”

“My package was delivered. The key to the package locker was in my mailbox, but it was bent and I couldn't get the package locker open. I called the Hilltop Carrier Annex. A person answered the phone immediately and got in touch with the mail carrier for me. The mail carrier offered to meet me at the package locker in 20 minutes. Meanwhile my husband came home and got the key to work. He brought the package into the house. I called the Annex back, got the same lady on the phone and was able to tell them the problem was solved. I thanked them for the terrific response and service. And I'm saying THANKS again, here!”

“There are few things I dread more than having to walk into a post office, except maybe the DMV. I would literally look for every alternative before sucking it up and braving the lifeless, cranky, slow, sad walls of a post office. But then we moved to the Bay Area 5 years ago and just happened to land walking distance to this tiny little gem! Cendon (the post master) is hands down one of the greatest guys you'll ever come in contact with, and his post office runs like a dream. It feels like family when I go in, and truth be told, I LOVE my daily visits! I will one day have to leave this place and I'll miss everything about my post office. It is absolutely one of my favorite things about my time living here.”

“I just had my family passports renewed and I could not ask for a nicer experience. They made copies of documents I should have brought, with no fuss. We watched them greet a dozen customers by name. These guys give the Post Office a great name!”

“One of the few post offices I went when I felt they were diligent and fast. No queues, no hassle, .... They keep putting some of my mail into my neighbor, though. But besides that, no problem whatsoever. There is also a big enough parking.”

“I have always gotten useful help from the staff here even during the hectic holiday season, there was a line that moved quickly and they handled even the most random questions. Useful to ensure we support this service.”

“I don't usually call USPS locations stunning, but I've multiple times been pleasantly surprised by how kind, helpful, and patient the staff here is. I've been to many USPS, and had to write many unkind reviews to warn others of what to expect, but here, I can only assure fellow reader that you will be repeated with respect and care no matter your state of hair in disarray and permanent Covid pajama uniform.”

“As of 7/1/2023 these are the Hours of Operation at 11135 San Pablo Avenue. Having evening access to the lobby on a Saturday was / is super helpful - including the sizable drop box that fits up to a Flat Rate Medium Box #2.”

“When I first moved to California in August 2015, I brought a lot of things with me that I did not know if I would need. Where I was living, on Spruce Street, was close to this US Post Office in North Berkeley, so if I needed to ship anything back to Washington State - this is where I came. We would get flat rate boxes, and then I would fill and ship them as needed.Traveling past on foot a number of times, I saw the lines could be very long. So, I would think through what I really wanted to send back (introspection and prioritization) to reduce the number of times I needed to come and ship belongings to Washington State. Even coming early/off hours, there was a wait - but the line moved briskly and the workers were fast and professional.”

“Ramon rocks and is the glue that holds this post office together. Not sure what we'll all do when he retires. But, I wish him the best of luck when he does and thank him for all of his helpful service over the years.”

“Amazing customer service! Donovan And Erika are the best, they are very friendly and are nice always patient with customers. Five stars ! Highly recommend this place.”

“The hours are incorrect. As of 7/11, this location is not open on weekends and on weekdays they close at 430pm. Whoever is responsible for updating hours should update this. Thank you!”

“The lines are always a little bit long, but the center is always stocked with all the supplies I need. The employees are cool. I don't know why people are saying they are rude. The customers are usually giving them a hard time and they try really hard not to be rude back. Service jobs are tough. Parking sucks, though. I agree with that statement.”

“Really no issues at all. Despite being a small location, hidden amongst the buzz of Durant Street, the service was good and quick and to the point. Will come back!”

“This Post Office location is just lovely!! The employees are super friendly and always very nice to the customers. Compared to other locations nearby this is by far the best one.”

“Great location with great hours never busy and staff always friendly and welcoming. They will help you with anything and they are opened on Saturday until 2:30pm with a huge lobby plenty of shipping supples and counters to wrap or write something.”

“This post office is beautiful as are the hearts of the folks who work here. We followed the suggested time for open hours of passport processing on here as it says after 4 pm. We were told kindly yesterday that passport processing ended at 3:30 and given forms to complete at home to quicken the process. Erica was informative and awesome and recommended we return as early as possible next time to ensure we can get help. Today, we did just that! We arrived a little after 9 am. They open at 9. One family was finishing up their application and then we were able to apply for a new passport book for our son as well as submit my renewal. We left by 9:30 am. The hours for passport processing online are misleading. Postal workers are doing their best with reduced staff and pay. People reserve spots and then don’t show up! Yesterday there were 22 appointments and only 10 of those people even went. So there was a lot of time to go and be kind and patient. Try to go early!!”

“I was so scared entering this place because it looks abandoned. There was no cars in the parking lot. I actually walked in without the packages that I needed to ship just in case the place was closed down but to my surprise it's a fully working post office and the lady at the counter was more than helpful. Super nice gave me some tips on what to do when shipping things for the future which I really appreciate it.”

“Not sure why this place has bad reviews. As far as US Post Office's go -- this is one of the best. I have a small business and I drop packages here at least three times a week and they are always beyond friendly. I'm a big fan.”

“I have been remiss not writing this review. This is my local PO, and they rock the system with competence and patience! Just the best of USPS. Thank you for your hard work, and helping the public more than we realize.”

“Until I lived elsewhere for a short time, I never thought about how much I rely on the excellent customer service provided by the women at my local post office. Put your feelings for the USPS aside and consider how well they help people, against all odds. Their equipment is not the best, the facilities are small, and yet people of all ages and backgrounds go there because they know they will be treated with respect and all of their questions will get answered. They are not in a rush, so if you need ultra fast service go elsewhere. But if you visit you will get excellent service so consistently that you will become their fan. That's why I decided to write this review.”

“The staff here has always been extremely friendly. I'm here once or twice a week, and they are very helpful with whatever is needed. I've seen a couple instances where people come in mad or frustrated about some paperwork or process, and the staff does a great job of helping them get the information they need (passport renewals, etc). The staff here executes on their job, and will often go above and beyond what's needed. Sometimes there's a bit of a line, but they always move through it quickly and precisely. Glad to be here.”

“Absolutely helpful, always pleasant I adore this little post office location in Point Richmond. I find myself here more often than not, and I never have an issue with getting in and getting out in a timely manner. I'm unsure what some of the other reviewers I've read about this location being slow moving, I have not had that experience any time I am here. This post office team is the best!”

“I needed two priority mail envelopes, a 20 dollar money order and 20 postage stamps. My mind was not functioning so well. A wonderful lady named Dawn walked me through the process, and was sincerely kind, patient, and most helpful throughout. Thank you so much Dawn. May your wonderful kindness be returned to you 10 times over.”

“I give this post office 3 stars because they are less than average in niceness, the floors are not very clean because the janitors are lazy and make zero efforts to pick up the trash that patrons leave on the floor when discarding their open envelopes that they stand around opening the bills. The bills seem to get taken without questioning why theyr aren't suppose to litter the floors with the envelopes. maybe the patrons are slobs in their own homes. who knows?”
