Stay AWAY from the meat!!! Some of it is brown and or green what i can only assume is mold. ? ANYTHING not prepackaged should definitely be avoided. Lots of stuff in and around the meat dept. is rotting or rotten including the meat ? was buying some ground beef to make some sopes for dinner and yeah NO WAY they need to shut this place down AGAIN before someone gets sick!!!

Grocery store isn't that busy, bot I go there for the Don Rafa Mexican restaurant, love the birria pizza, roasted chicken, and there Quesabirria tacos.

Contrary to what this Yelp listing currently states, Food Barn isn't closed. It's still around as of my last visit.Perhaps the best things about this supermarket (which was poorly marked from the outside when I stopped by) was its taco stand (Pollos Asados Don Rafa, already covered in a separate Yelp listing) and its in-house bakery, which produces lots of fresh breads, baked goods, and pastries each day. The baked goods, in particular, were ginormous given the low prices, although they were a tad empty and fluffy inside.Prices on packaged goods that I spot checked were in line with other Bay Area markets, regardless of whether they were Latin brands.

The bread sold in their bakery has always been the best in the area. Best in quality and in price. This past Saturday I bought almost $20 worth of Mexican bread and it was hard/stale as if it were days old and not freshly made. A big disappointment, most of it went to the trash because nobody wanted it.
