“I haven’t felt a warm vibe in every shop on Piedmont and vintage stores can be kind of snobby sometimes but I’m happy to say that that frigidaire environment has NOT been my experience at Sunshine Prophecy. The vibe is super warm and inviting; There is ALWAYS good music playing; The employees there are always very patient with any of my (often MANY haha) questions; — AND I’ve never felt pressure to buy anything if I wasn’t ready. — That is especially important to me bc in order to budget I purposely do LONG leads on items I’m interested in. I might stop in once or twice and ask questions/do price checks before I finally treat myself and they always treat me like a paid customer. Clothes, jewelry, purses are cute. LOVE their witchy candles, herbs, and TAROT CARDS. It seems like the owner of this store had more of a “creative calling ” then just a bottom line in starting this business.”

It’s my go to spot now. Their selection is fantastic, offering a wide range of high-quality options for all occasions. The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and Sonu is super helpful—both really go out of their way to style you for the events you're shopping for. I was able to get several outfits for my brother's wedding and my best friend's wedding within a day, and every piece was unique and beautiful. They even tailored everything, and the fit was perfect. One blouse needed to be fixed again and they were so kind and quick about it. They truly care that their clients are well taken care of. The prices reflect the quality you’re getting—well worth it! I also found gorgeous matching jewelry to complete my looks that the owner hand selected and was patient while I figured out what I liked best. My husband got three outfits and couldn’t be more excited to have high-quality Indian clothes, from a hassle free, fast, and easy shopping experience. “When I came across this store it was as if the clouds had parted to let the sun shine down on me. Yeah I’m exaggerating but it’s a cool store and the dude who runs it seems laxed. But when he asks you “how much do you think it’s worth?” I recommend quoting some outrageous price and wait for his counter offer. I mean it’s negotiating 101. But when you’re desperate for money, you’ll just be happy if somebody is willing to pay you anything. A mistake I shan’t make again. “I love this store. I see lots of negative reviews about not getting attention. Well, in fact I do enjoy that. If I walk into any place I was raised that I am the one to say hello. I am the one entering the place to look around. I do not expect over the top hellos and attention from the walk in. In fact I find it annoying to be greeted, informed about sales and all that fake (really) helloness. )In Mexico is right the opposite, they will make friends with you from the get go - that almost ruined the trip for me. I had to say to BACK OFF.) If I find something that I like I will make it to the counter and ask a question. To me it is that simple. But I think it is a cultural difference. There are lots of tourists in Sausalito and id think that these people are aware of cultural differences. That is how it is in SOME countries in Europe and it is nothing personal. The greeting, smiling is just over the top and Id think "She is so nice to me because she wants me to spend money here". Well, while that might be true - if i like something I will buy it regardless if someone said hello to me or not. I totally understand the people working there too - now wear that fake smile to strangers to 8 hours per day. C'mon everyone has life and shit to deal with, you can not be happy ALL THE TIME. Give them a break, they have to deal with hundreds or thousands of tourists from all over the world always. Now imagine to what cultural differences they are exposed to. I understand both sides. If only people loosened up their suspenders, stop taking everything so personally and to the heart, the planet would have been so much easier to live on. There - off my chest”

“I enjoyed shopping in Personal Pizazz. The selection of vintage looking clothing is strikingly well done. I particularly enjoyed the discount rack with items from $5 to $75. “I never need to directly go here myself, but my husband loves it so I go with him sometimes. He likes to get the rugs there. This time we were looking for some rugs, but we ended up with socks, knives, and incense instead. Spacious boutique shop with unique items from household to kids to beauty to kitchen products. Dog friendly. The cashiers greet you, but usually keep to themselves until you're ready to check out. Great local spot to go to support your local businesses whether you're buying gifts or things for yourself. Easy walk from Rockridge BART or there is paid street parking, and free residential parking. Or bike or bus! Luckily for me, I can walk down here.”
