Passed by yesterday on a motorcycle, San Fransisco - San Diego. But it's around 5pm so all the good stuff were taken. I took the last big $2 chocolate chip cookie. They have meats in freezer, if you happen to have a an ice box in your car. Will try to pass by again on my way back to the Bay area. A little earlier this time.

The was a pleasant surprise. We were geocaching on this back road and discovered a fully stocked honor farmstand. We bought a few things that were delicious and moved on down the road.

One of those great tiny hole in the wall spots that most foodies dream of stumbling across! It's a little off the beaten path (just over 6 miles from the Monterey county line on Indian Valley Rd), but well worth the detour from the 101 if you're in Paso wine tasting or just passing through. Beautiful jams and preserves, freshly baked goods, free range eggs, homemade wood salves, even the occasional tomato seedling. Everything here is made from scratch on the farm up the hill, and you can honestly feel the love that went into it. Add a visit to the u-pick orchard just up the street ($2/lb!!!) and you've got yourself a delicious weekend adventure in Central Coast.
