Great customer service but really cheap owner (or maybe it’s just UPS itself) - they charged me $2 to add extra tape on the top of the box, lol seriously? How cheap can you get ?

This is my go-to UPS store because parking is easy and service is fast. I’m always happy if Alex is working because he’s super helpful and friendly. I have dropped off a car load of large, prepaid packages and if there’s a line he just tells me where to leave my boxes and he takes care of them for me.

Welcome to the late stage capitalism hell hole! Didn’t realize your Amazon return label needed you to seal the box? Heaven forbid stingy UPS could help you out with a foot of tape to close it. No, you’ll need to pay a $3 taping fee or spend $7 on a roll of packing tape. That is if this location’s Amazon return system is even working. Half the time it isn’t. Go somewhere else. The downtown UPS is way friendlier and more helpful.

Worst customer service. The whole staff should be replaced. They couldn’t find the package then it mysteriously appeared.
Very rude and unprofessional and unfriendly.
I recently moved to the Neighnorhood but will not be returning.

Note that this store is not a UPS "Access Point" and will charge you a lot of money to receive your packages. I asked my shipper why I was being charged to pick up my packages at the store.
Their response: "I spoke with customer service with UPS and unfortunately with such a large company depending on whom you speak with there are many different answers. We have never experienced a UPS store charging for storage of pick-up orders and as I said before this came as a surprise to us. When picking the UPS store I simply looked at the closest location near you as requested. Customer service over the phone said that there should be no charge for pick-up at any location, however when calling the store they explained they were not an "access point" and can charge for pick-up.
We requested a re-delivery to your residence however this will incur an additional delivery fee of $105. I also requested if we were able to waive the $15 fee for this one time incident as we have heard differently from their phone customer service, however they said they will not release the order unless the charge occurred. We apologize for the inconvenience and we will be much more cautious of shipping to a UPS store for pick-ups."

The staff at this location on Bovet Rd in San Mateo are always professional and very friendly and helpful. There is never a long wait. Convenient location and parking. Offers great services. I appreciate the mailbox services and the ease of doing Amazon returns at this location.
