Can't say enough about fred thayer carpets. Called and he came to our house the next day. gave a fair estimate and two experienced installers were there the next day and did a great job. Five plus stars !

After I read the Fred's reviews, I called him. He came by quickly, and carefully measured everything. He gave me some good samples to choose from, and some additional info when I requested it. His quote wasn't the cheapest, but it wasn't the most expensive either. In the end, the best value by far. While quoting, he immediate saw that there was a lot of furniture moving to be done, and he offered to incorporate this into his quote. His crew showed up on time. They were careful, very friendly, and courteous. Halfway through they found an issue with the roll they had brought. They didn't try to cut their way around it or otherwise use it - they took it straight back to the warehouse to change it the same day, and stayed lated to finish 2 of the 3 rooms. My kids and grandma were able to sleep in their room that night! They finished the last room the next morning. The result is excellent. Great attention to detail.

Great! I called Fred, he came by and gave a quote, very reasonable. He kept in touch, his installer Jose came by and removed the old carpet and pad, installed the new carpet and pad in two bedrooms. He was fast, excellent quality and very nice. Wonderful job, I'd hire their team again anytime! 10 stars!

As a property manager with hundreds of properties to oversee, finding a great service partner is so important. I found Fred Thayer on Yelp, gave him a call, met him at the property the next day, received a same day quote with great options, booked the deal and within 4 days we had new carpet installed in one of our units. You could not ask for a smoother transaction. On time, on budget and great work. Thank you!

Fred had me pick a sample from an associate's warehouse nearby, take it home, live with it a couple days, and decide, very low key and friendly. He then gave us a fair price quote, scheduled a day within a week. His 2 crew were on time, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. 5 stars is for his guy, Jose coming a half hour out of his way to show me how he had designed in the carpet over my sub-floor access door which I couldn't figure out so I could let the termite guy under the house. Excellent service, above and beyond.

I called Fred for the first time and he called me right back (others didn't). I explained that we removed carpet from our stairs but had enough remnants from when the carpet was installed over 20 years ago to do all 18 stairs. Fred gave me a fair price over the phone right then after I described the demensions. He arranged to do the work within 2 days - WOW! That's service! He arrived early to inspect the site make sure all would be ok and then came back right on time with his installer Jose. Jose was terrific. He worked non-stop but had to come back the next morning to finish the job. Early again. He did wonderful work and Fred and Jose were great to work with. I recommend Fred Thayer Carpets - 10 stars. Fred Thayer is as good as working with a carpet vendor gets. I got a quote within minutes of inquiring about a quote. He stopped by the next day then gave a quote within a day. Here is the difficult mission we handed him: I gave him less than two weeks notice about the job (this was a last minute special request) of replacing 6k feet of commercial carpet within a few days. He dealt with it beautifully. Fred and his team worked so hard. Our contractor, who was there to help move furniture off the carpet, explained that this was one of the toughest flooring installation jobs he's ever seen. The previous company who installed the old carpet just poured adhesive onto the surface, making the removal of the old carpet very difficult. Fred and team efficiently removed all of the old carpet, scraped the surface CLEAN of all old adhesive (I was told that it was a very well-done job) and even though no one would see under the new carpet, Fred insisted on a neat and clean surface to install the new carpet. He was meticulous and did an outstanding job of installing the carpet and cleaning up after. When we got back, we just saw a sea of clean, shining carpet. Feels great! I absolutely recommend working with Fred on your next carpet installation; he's professional, polite, personable and great to work with. We really could not be happier.

Fred is awesome! I would highly recommend his services and would hire him again anytime. Fred removed some old carpets and did the work quickly and efficiently. He provided a quote for new carpet + install right away. He was flexible on the timing of the carpet removal and was able to get the work done right away. I have been able to refer Mike to multiple clients who were selling properties and doing small projects and he and his team were great. He is responsive to the needs of the client by thoroughly listening to them and also makes appropriate suggestions. As a real estate professional I work with lots of various service providers and based on the feedback which I received from my clients and my own interactions with Mike, he's stellar. Based on my experiences and those of my clients who hired him, I would strongly recommend him if you're looking for carpet and construction work.
