When my 2015 Outback started sputtering while accelerating at lower speeds, I took it to Carlsen Subaru and they couldn’t diagnose it. Stevens Creek Subaru told me it was a coil pack, which they replaced, but that didn’t fix the problem either. They did discover seeping engine oil and quoted me such a massive bill that they suggested I buy another car. Thank goodness I found Barinder and Boxer Specialist. He discovered Stevens Creek put in the wrong coil pack, resealed the cam carrier and my Outback is running perfectly again. From now on I’m only going to Boxer. I highly recommend.

Barinder loaned me his car while doing a repair on mine. He noted 3 things my regular mechanic missed. He even offered to ask the dealership if something was still under warranty, and introduced me to someone at the dealership! He's skilled, pleasant and honest.

Glad to have found Barinder. I can do most work myself but sometimes whether due to time or energy or workspace limitations something comes up that's just easier to have done at a proper shop. Barinder's knowledge of Subarus is evident (as one would hope given his dealership past) and he's also enthusiastic about them.I've been able to get in less than a week out every time, and he provides good status updates when necessary (such as when something unexpected turns up). Saturday availability is also a big plus, even if just for communication, as someone that works down in the South Bay.Services: Steering & suspension replacement

Typically I'd go to that Subaru dealership for all my servicing needs. My first experience with boxer specialist was outstanding. The owner and master Subaru technician help me find a problem that dealership was unable to diagnose. I like the passion that the master technician had for working with Subarus. I will definitely be coming back with both of our family Subarus as well as recommend my coworkers to come here. You get the master technician and all Subaru parts that you get at the dealership, but with better pricing :-)

I took my 2018 Forester XT since the solid check engine light came on. Since it wasn't blinking, it was safe to drive to his shop. After a quick inspection, he determined it was the oil sensor which had oil residue. I just recently had an oil change at the dealer. Barinder cleared it! He didn't charge me. Moving forward, I'm going to him for all my Subaru maintenance service. Thank you Barinder!

Highly recommend. Took my 2013 Outback in for a 60k service. Barinder was very professional and explained everything he did and gave me an itemized report card for my car's current status and recommendation for future things to monitor. Drove the car to Tahoe the next weekend and felt more confident! Will definitely return for future services!
