This seems like the best grocery store in San Mateo. There's a nice deli, and lots of fresh produce. It's mostly on the expensive side so I don't buy very much.

Piazza's is more expensive than your average grocery store, but their produce is the best in town. They also have great pre-made meals and exclusive items you can't find anywhere else!

Fantastic high-end grocery store at reasonable prices! Wonderful selection of meats, seafood, fruits, vegetables, and dairy products. The hot food section is smaller post-Covid, but still has a lot of decent food items. Friendly and very helpful staff make it a great shopping experience. Large parking lot with plenty of spaces.

Well, it's a very nice store and nice employees but way overpriced for me. Fresh produce, great bread although I did not purchase.Brought a beautiful bunch of organic carrots instead. Also, good cost on half and half. Senior discount for seniors on Tuesday to my surprise! I walked down cereal aisle and cereal was $7.99. Ouch! Happy with the service.

Nice neighborhood grocery store, with a surprisingly wide variety of items for being smaller. But very pricey, Whole Foods style. Sad that the remodeled and no longer have inside Starbucks seating area. Most unique is their wide variety of bakery goods and cheese section

A lovely neighborhood supermarket! It’s big, clean and bright, with tons of friendly people. We stopped by just to redeem a promotion, and left with lots of wonderful treats!

I visited the cheese department at Piazzas a few days ago. I was making a special, creative Halloween appetizer and I knew Kelly and Chuck would be helpful. They immediately took the job to task and suggested several ideas. They were the best! I love the special help and advice they gave me. Their knowledge of cheese is so incredible. It was a pleasure doing business with them. Now about those self-check out stations... I do not like them at all!! That won't work for me! Thank you Susan

This is hands down the best grocery store I have ever shopped in. Gorgeous veggies, phenomenal cheese selection, fresh pre-made meals and sushi, excellent selection in the dairy section, and those specialty products you need for a variety of recipes. If they don't have what you need, ask and they will try to order it for you. The service is fantastic, the employees genuinely care about customer service and they are highly knowledgeable about the products. They were there for the community during the pandemic doing their jobs gracefully. Thanks to the employees, management team, and owners for doing it all so well. I shop here every week because of it.

Just because you remodeled the store doesn’t mean things change. So unorganized employees /managers working there. It’s like getting a run around and people don’t know who is supposed to help and talk to who. I’ve been here a numerous amount of times and receiving constant friendly customer service is like pulling your tooth out. Or not getting stared at like I’m a alien would work too. But I won’t shop here, I’ll go to Bianchini’s in San Carlos where the customer service is so much more friendly!

Friendly and solid Wine Department. I needed a bottle of wine to bring to a important dinner. I know a little about wine but not much. The gentleman Kadafi was so kind and a ton of help. He asked what type of wine I like and what food I planned on eating with it, and was able to recommend something specific to the info I gave him. Never had that type of service at a grocery wine environment which made me feel good. Not only was my wine a hit at the dinner but coincidentally it was on the wine list at the restaurant I was at but for triple the price! First time here but I'll be back for sure.

I love shopping here! The produce is always fresh and neatly stacked. They carry some items like kohlraby all year round. We love kohlrabi in this family, so we buy here regularly. The bread is also the best here. Even though it is more expensive, it is definitely great quality. I love walnut whole wheat bread. Staff here are nice and friendly. They are always polite and helpful. Recently, there were some changes to the decor. I liked Piazza the way it was before. Now it resembles other stores too much though.
