“We hired Blossoms and Botanicals for our wedding reception at Domenico Winery in San Carlos, and we were blown away by the product that Regina and her team put together. We didn’t know exactly what we wanted when we reached out, but knew she was a preferred vendor at our venue and thought she would have a good idea of what would work in that space. Regina knew the venue inside and out and helped us tweak some of our ideas to work well in the space. She also agreed to try something new that we were interested in, and it worked out so well. She showed us examples of potential arrangements, had several different options for floral arches for photos, and when we ended up with an extra table on the day of was able to put together an extra centerpiece at the last minute.

Regina also made sure to wait until the flowers she would be using were in season so we could get the best idea of what our centerpieces would look like.

The arrangements and décor themselves were incredible, we got so many compliments from all of our guests at how beautiful and unique the flowers were, and the quality exceeded our expectations on all levels. If we ever need flowers for anything in the future we will be using Blossoms and Botanicals, and definitely recommend them for any special occasion you might need flowers for.”

“Golden Nursery is my fav nursery for the new plants hunting in San Mateo. They have many unique types of plants you can find here such as herbs, fruit trees, ground covers, perennials, ferns, succulents, house plants, seeds, bulbs, ect. It’s fun that I usually get something interesting as my new plant buddies whenever I came here. Looking forward to visiting here again! ?”

“Wowie zowie!! Berto leapt up from lunch to personally guide me through the nursery. We thought about numerous plants that might work in the space I wanted to fill. What a cool guy and a beautiful nursery. I'm so appreciative and I can't wait to put my new baby in the garden.”

“My wife and I were married at the San Mateo Arboretum in June of 2019, it just occurred to me I should post a review! We were very happy with the venue, we had the wedding out in the garden with about 52 people. We used the Pump House to stage things, and had the buffet tables outside. We were able to bring in a catering truck with a pizza oven, and the caterer provided the servers to stage the food and serve the drinks. Our contact helped us with the logistics and was there for the event, when there was an issue with another event in the park blocking the access she quickly worked it out with them and got the path cleared. There are some limitations to work with: no real kitchen for cooking, no dishwashing, and the interior would be cramped for 45 people, so hope for clear weather and bring a mobile caterer. Don't expect to play really loud music or have a big dance party on the grass. But for a small low-key wedding the garden is fantastic, and makes a wonderful backdrop. The price is very affordable, and we were able to book it with 4 months notice, so it was a very good option for us... Highly recommended if it fits your needs!”

“I made the questionable decision to try to bring home 2 sheets of plywood in my Buick Enclave SUV. Angel is a "lot associate" who helped me wrangle them into my car. He was a complete DREAM, or rather an angel, and was super friendly and helpful as we tried to maximize the interior inches and eventually tied down the hatchback with twine. I have never felt so helped. This guy MADE MY NIGHT. Thank you, Angel!!”

“We are 2 years into a home remodel project. Not everything has gone ..... (cough !) smoothly. There have been a lot of ups n downs on this merry adventure of financial insecurity and anxiety. But ! Throughout all of our successes and some of our "oh shit ! " moments. Home Depot in San Mateo has been right along side us. They've never given us grief with a legitimate issue and they've always been polite , prompt and friendly. Todays Yelp is a direct result of an interaction that my wife and I had with Steve in the return department. He may not remember me but I remember him from several prior interactions with him over the last two years. Steve is polite , friendly , articulate and genuinely kind and helpful. We had made a serious mistake and bought a very expensive item that was essentially entirely useless to us once we discovered our blunder. I was so relieved to see Steve at the counter. He didn't make a big fuss about our return or ask a bunch of questions to force us to admit that we'd screwed up. (We did. ..) he didn't "oh I need a manager for this .." or act like we were doing something shady. (It seems to me that these days most retailers make the act of an exchange or a refund feel like you're committing retail fraud. It's icky out there folks !!!). Nope. Steve honored the spirit of Home Depot's policy and he helped us fix our blunder quickly and efficiently with a solution that was acceptable and let us feeling valued as a customer. Service like he delivered took away a touch of the angst and anxiety that I have been almost constantly feeling for two years. I might even sleep a little tonight. Thanks Steve !! I hope someone at Home Depot reads this and gives you a bonus or a raise. At the least a cookie !! I appreciated being treated like a human being.”

“I was here for a scavenger for my youth group and the staff was very understanding and allowed it so that was nice. Other than that it is Home Depot and it has everything you would need and expect from a Hone Depot.”
