Place is still standing. They have all your Polynesian food supply. The LU they sell is one of the best. Their lu is better than the lu in Hayward.

DO NOT SHOP AT NEELAM for your taro. They sold us a bag that was previously opened and stuffed with small old taros. Usually when we purchase from them, the bag has to be cut open with a pair of scissors or a knife. They made this bag look as if it wasn't opened so we didn't realize what they had done until we got home. I called the lady and she had a really smug tone in her voice and was not accommodating at all. If you decide to continue shopping here make sure you check the bag and make sure they aren't trying to scam you in the way they did us. DONT SHOP HERE AT NEELAM IN SAN MATEO. They will probably stuff their bag with small old taro they were unable to sell. Paid $140 for this bag and completely unsatisfied with the quality. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Racist owner, please do our San Mateo county a Favor and NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN! The old man in the store kicked out two kids from his store for speaking SPANISH! Mind you the kids are 12 and 13. Kids came in to buy chips and sodas as they regularly do. While they were grabbing chips & speaking spanish the old man told them to leave. Said if the lived in the USA they needed to speak english. Mind you- they were alone, their parents were not with them. The old man needs a reality check- he has a store located in the most centralized area where Hispanics/Latinos live. I am sure he would NOT like anyone screaming @ his kids or kicking them-out. Just beyond disgusted with his actions. He clearly needs a reminder that he crossed a line when he screamed @ kids. CPS will soon be making a visit- hopefully this will teach him to NEVER speak to kids this way. I had to select a star to post, so please disregard the star because I am in no way ENCOURAGING any business for him!!!

Calling the store was a waste of time called first time to be told it was a wrong number and then was told to call the same number because someone else would answer. After 20 or so rings a woman answers to just tell me that she was not able to give prices over the phone and the only way would be to drive to San Mateo to get a price smh

Been here 3 times now. Much useful for Indian spices and products. Especially a lot of Hindu Pooja items, which helped us a lot. They have a special sign for coconuts "No returns". And the 4 coconuts I bought from them, 2 each per visit, were either rotten or just rotten. I was surprised with the consistency of how bad they were. So, it's sure a no buy for us in future.
