Joe has been keeping my sails alive the past 12 years and at a very fair price! My 3 sails are each about 560 sq ft and used for 20 days sailing SF Bay each year, with many days at 32+ kts wind, and the sunbrella, leechline, clew, and other components appreciate Joe's attentions every 5-6 years! Joe is very personable, his prices fair, his sail loft on the SF peninsula near my home and boat in SouthBeach, and he has easy drop-off and pickup procedures. I'll be seeing Joe very soon, no doubt.

I cannot begin to thank Joe for such an amazing and talented work of art! I called him with a very short timeline and asked if he could make my dad a new El Toro dinghy sail for his 70th birthday with less than two weeks to spare. Not only did Joe take on such a complicated task... he crawled into the loft to find an El Toro pattern, and he kept me in the loop with text messages and pictures throughout the entire journey. This review does not do him justice. He is extremely hard-working, and puts his heart and soul into each and every piece. I am beyond thankful that we crossed paths. My dad and I are both honored to have a piece of your art as part of a family heirloom.

Joe replaced the UV cover on my Genoa and did a really nice job. Lots of attention to detail. He added a Velcro pocket that was not on the original sail. I will certainly consider them when I need a new sail.

I had a non-nautical project that needed work on large outdoor fabrics, so I contacted Joe at Leading Edge Sails. Through a few emails and a couple phone conversations, I found him to be very helpful brainstorming ideas and providing me some optional directions, regardless if I result using his services. He cares more about people than money, which I find an incredible attribute. I would do business with him based on his character alone, but he also had invaluable information that showed his experience. Great guy!
