What a gem of a find! A hidden mix of treasures, both antique and new. The gentleman working there was finishing some pieces to add to their inventory. Deceiving from the outside, I thought it was going to be a small shop... but there was so much to explore and admire. I tried my best to keep hands off because as most of us know, antiques can be pricey. But they have some affordable stuff as well!

Wonderful atmosphere upon entry. Calm, inviting and utterly pleasurable interior as one peruses the goodies. No intention on buying at first but curiosity got the better of me and an impulse buy "pour moi" left me satiated but planning to return to grab a gift for the better half!

What shouldn't I say about this place? Been coming here for years. Excellent place to go for Asian Antiques. They get a new shipment from China every so often too. You can find an assortment of blue and white porcelain, paintings, furniture, vases, fountains and more. Always get a great deal on an assortment of goods. Just make sure you're not parked at the sushi restaurant next door. They have separate parking spaces. If you're looking for Asian furnishings this is the place to go.

This place always fascinates me. An absolutely fabulous place to pick up Asian antiques and decor for the home or office. You can truly find a few Feng shui items too.

I've legit driven by Golden Lotus Antiques for YEARS and have always thought "hmm...I should check them out sometime" and now I can finally say that I did! The size of the store is super deceiving from the outside - it is actually HUGE!!! I was greeted by a woman right away, followed by a man (who I assume was her husband) and they were just the nicest! I was looking for some drawers in a specific size and the man helped me and directed me to 3 pieces that were exactly the size I was looking for. Everything inside was just beautiful. I felt like I was browsing a museum. I didn't end up purchasing anything because it was a little outside my budget, but I would come back here just to take a lap around the store and admire all of the beauty they have to offer!

Don't let the exterior of this place fool you. It looks like a nondescript, cheesy and lackluster place. Not to mention that it's visible from the main drag El Camino Real, and after we parked and approached on El Camino, it had a closed look about it. We got back in the car, and after clarifying on the phone that they were indeed, open for business, found our way into the shop by walking around the block. It's shocking to enter, like Aladdin's cave, endless rows and rows, a maze of fantastic, literally phantasmic, furniture. Beautiful and unique one of a kind stuff from Asia, mainly China. But that's so not all. They have loads of stuff from Tibet, which we walked away with a very low cabinet for our t.v. Arthritis has made it hard for me look up, and we needed an eye-level surface to watch t.v. Didn't want something generic, not something minimalist or Ikea, nothing modern. We hankered for something with color and character but where to find it? We lucked out with this beauty (photo below). The photo does not do it justice: in person it's a gorgeous brushed wood, with a vintage feel because well, it has loads of history and not just literal but also metaphorical color. The pigments are toned down, spearmint, glistening wood and crimson. The customer service we got from the gentleman was genteel and super responsive. They delivered that same day we bought it!! Holy hello! In fact, they delivered the piece immediately! None of that 4 hour time frame. We couldn't be happier and wish only that we had an entire house to decorate, giving us an excuse to shop here again :-)

For what it is it's one the best we've seen in the US. Furniture and art from China in a wide selection. Definitely do some bargaining here.

Never seen a place with such variety of different antique goods from all over Asia, and, most importantly, really fair price.

We have been going there for 25 years. It's always fun to browse and treasure hunt. Now we live in SoCal, we order from its web site.

The inventory here is quite large and there is a good variety of products. Upwards to half of the products appear to be non-antiques but rather recent (re)productions. The staff is friendly and helpful. Entrance is tricky to find. You have to walk around the block; it is not on El Camino.

Golden Lotus Antiques is what the Chinese call a "hei dien", or literally, a "black store" due to its shady business practices. Here's why: I saw a chinoiserie piece that I liked and bookmarked on etsy.com and e-mailed to my husband on April 27th. At the time, it was listed at $48.00 and the condition is listed as "vintage". The link was taken down after my visit today, but it shows the item number (etsy.com can back me up as to when this listing was taken down because I screenshotted it this morning after I left the store): A few weeks later after I bookmarked the item, I noticed it was marked down from $48 to $33.60 (see attached screenshot). I was ready to add it to my cart when I saw the exorbitant shipping fee, and decided to visit the store in person when I saw the note in the listing that the store was open to local pick-up. My husband and I go to the store today, locate the item, and notice that there's two of them grouped together, which is uncommon for vintage items. For the price, I'm ok with a reproduction of a vintage item, but by definition vintage items are 20+ years old so the etsy listing is misleading if these are newly made reproductions manufactured to look like older vintage or antique items. What was shocking is that the price sticker attached to the item said $450. I asked the sales woman, an Asian lady with glasses, why the discrepancy between the online and instore price. She looks on her computer and tells me the online price of $33.60 is a "typo" and that she inputs the online items and she "forgot a zero". Seriously??? I tell her.., the item was listed for $48 for weeks and then reduced to $33.60... so you corrected a typo with another typo? And you use a low price to lure customers into your store, then bait and switch them into a price that's 10x what was advertised when they're in the store and ready to buy?? She tells me the "best price" is $130 or $140, I don't remember which, but it wasn't anywhere near the etsy price of $33.60. I advise her to correct the price if it's truly a typo because it's misleading to buyers and has been up for weeks (you'll notice that the price typed onto the photo says $48.00 - also a typo?). Lastly, I tell her that the etsy listing is misleading because it says the item is vintage but true vintage items are over 20 years old, not reproductions made to look old Later today, the etsy listing disappeared. In short, my experience with Golden Lotus Antiques was less than satisfactory. I left with my blood boiling but I'm glad I didn't get tricked into spending a bunch of money on fake vintage items. Momma ain't raised no fool!
