After searching for a local tire shop open on a late weekday afternoon for a tire repair, the guys at Big O were willing to help. The crew got me an appointment within a day and were able to service and get me back on the road in a reasonable time and price. That matters to me! Thanks guys, see you next time.

Made an appointment for 9am - arrived at 8:45. 9:56am car is sitting in the lot not even looked at. Finally up on a jack only after complaints, they fix the tire. Car is done and they literally park another car behind it and take the wheel off of it. In the parking lot, behind my car so I can't get the finished car. So now I wait again, for the car after me to be finished because instead of pulling it into an open repair bay they put it on a jack behind my car. So all together 2.5 hours for a 5-10minute patch. Single star because the people up front were at least helpful...but go somewhere else where they ...try? Care? Are competent?

I brought my car in for a wheel alignment but they told me that I needed to replace my left front hub bearing assembly before they could perform the alignment. I did notice that my left front wheel was making a noise while driving, so I almost believed them. They told me it would cost $500 to replace the hub bearing. I decided to get a second opinion from my regular mechanic. When I took my car to my mechanic, he was adamant that there was nothing wrong with the hub bearing. I told him about the noise, so he added some lubricant and the noise went away. Now it's as good as new, and he didn't even charge me anything. Now I won't even go back to Big O Tires for my alignment. I just don't trust them anymore.

I wanted an alignment after some winter potholes and recently had some new tires installed following a sidewall tear. I called on a Saturday and they were able to see me about 2 hours later, the entire procedure took about 10 minutes, and I really appreciated the friendliness and honesty of their team. Extremely professional and they did not upsell me on an actual alignment even though several specs were ever so slightly out of range. The free alignment check was honored and I was out of there in no time, no questions asked. They also took the time to explain why work was not needed at this time. It's rare to see this level of honesty and customer service, and they definitely earned my business for future work to be done on my car. Thank you Alonso and your team! While I see the other reviews, my experience was nothing but great, and wanted to acknowledge and share that.

Fast, friendly service. Always eager to help you get what you need. If you go on weekend without appointment plan to wait but that's because of great service

My experience at the San Mateo store was terrible. Setup an appointment for two new tires. Told it would take 2 hours. After 2 hours my car was still sitting in the parking lot. I should have cancelled, but instead I waited. When they finally got around to working on my car, they managed to ding a rim and break off a lug nut (cover). When I complained to the manager, he had some guy with a rag and WD40 clean off the wheels. What is that suppose to do? Then proceeded to tell me they break the covers off lug nuts all the time. A couple of guys did replaced the broken lug nut, but I had to wait while they went and got a new one. Why didn't they have one in stock, if they break them all the time? He then tells me that the rim couldn't have been damaged by their tire machine, because the part that touches the rim is made of plastic. What a bunch of B.S. I knew I wasn't going to convince him that his shop was responsible for the damage, so I left disgusted and opened a case online with corporate. The B.S. continued. They kept telling me someone would contact me, but it never happened. Never got closure on this issue. What business treats their customers this way? DON'T GO THERE!, it's not worth the discounts they lure you in on. You may end up paying in other ways, like I did.

This was my fourth trip. My first was a three star. This time they earned a five star. Just appreciate them so much. They just keep getting better! The rest of this review is about my second visit maybe the first visit also. They were not ready with the tire even tho I was two hours late, they did it in ten min. I’ll take it! The rest of my review is from the first time—->A gentleman using the name Alonzo took my order, was orderly and professional. Even though my tire came in a little later than he’d anticipated, his demeanor and attitude were such that I did not mind. However, a surly and blatantly rude employee (I didn’t catch the name, had a tattoo on the forearm and Asian, a bit heavy set, shaved head I believe) who said “let’s just get this over with”. He appeared annoyed with me; I’d brought a chair to sit in while waiting in line. A few moments later I asked him what that was about “let’s just get this over with” he became agitated and I don’t remember what he said but it was something like “just doing me job” so I asked him if that was what he said to all patrons, he claimed to be uncomfortable with the question. I bet! As a first time user of Big O, I thought everything was fine, however this slime was allowed the freedom to talk to people like that; I’ve been in customer service most of my career, and it sucks but you can’t go around acting like that. Everyone else was great. Posters need updating. Waiting room was comfortable and enough space. Coulda offered some coffee maybe.

One day i got a flat tire, driving over a screw. I called Big O asking if they had my tire brand in stoc and the front desk guy says yes. He obviously didn even check the computer becuase when I got there they said they didnt have it in stock. So now I have one off brand ire that doesnt match the rest. The next time I came in for a leaky tire insection/fix, a tire rotation, oil change and needed wiper blades replaced. I bought my own and brought them in and they got put on backwards. Divers side was short and passengers side was long haning off the window by an inch. The leaky tire was the FL position when I came in. It was consistently showing 28 psi vs 35 psi on all the others after filling them a week or two prior. Tires shouldn't be losing 4psi over night after filling them, and shouldnt drop 7-8psi in a week or two. After the service they told me they couldn't find the leak and gave me $10 off m oil change. I got in my car and noticed that the mechanic didn't even fill my tires to an even psi all around. One was 41,36,28, and 35 psi. Nothing matched. The mechanic must've rotated the tires first before checking the leaky tire In the LF position. I dont know how he rotated the tires around but according to my psi guage in the car, the LR tire was reading 28psi, so that mustve been the bad tire. So one of the other 2 Goodyear tires not in question might have been moved to the LF position then tested and over inflated to 41 psi making it seem fine with no problems. Maybe he should've been testing the LR tire after the rotation was done. Why not check the problem tire first before doing the rotation?! When I got home and filled air myself, the left rear tire was at 28 and the front left was at 41.
