Great used bookstore! The owner and staff are very knowledgeable, and they have many books in a large range of topics and categories. They also have a well-curated collection of vintage, antique, and collectible books. If you are looking for something specific that they do not have, they may be able to procure it for you. Take a few minutes to chat with the staff before paying - when they know what you like, they are often able to direct you to books you may not have seen or in places you may not have looked.

I love this store. Lots of ever-changing inventory of used books all the time. If you are looking for beautiful books by Easton press, the folio society or franklin library they have them.

The service was nice, but the resell value is garbage! They chose a few books, all were brand new and 1 I think I opened once. They offered me $7 cash or $11 store credit. It's not even worth the effort of parking, paying for parking if you get it, and hauling your box of books into the store and waiting. It was the biggest waste of my time. I declined and am now going to either donate them to the library or leave them on the curb for people who will actually appreciate them.

This is such a wonderful bookshop. I have found many rare and used books there that are now treasured parts of my personal library. I have always found the owner and his employees to be very kind, helpful, and interested.

A hidden gem tucked in the downtown of San Mateo. Our family love visiting here whenever we go dining in the area and everyone gets to find something to bring home with. They have very extensive collection of all the genre you can think of. The owner is pretty laid back and friendly, you can just get lost in the piles of books as long as you wish. A must visit for book lovers!

Book stores are relatively rare these days, so an extra star just for being a downtown bookstore. For being a compact store they have a nice selection: history, classics, biographies. They have old books from early 20th century and also some more recent publications. There are some nice classic reprints like Robin Hood and the Odyssey in real high end high quality binding that would make a good gift. I bought a Greek Mythology text book for under $10, which I've read extensively. The downtown location is great. Some places inside to sit quietly and check out a book off your feet.

I was passing by and saw this store. Wonderful place for books. Very organized and has lots of books with a variety of categories. Highly recommend it for book lovers.

my 2nd time to visit to sell more of my oracle cards and i asked for that woman gina thought she was very kind and professional- this time around just the because her boss was in the store acted soo strange as if she never met me!!! shes a joke! for all my cards all brand new inly charging me for $3-$8 they are worth more! so bad service that woman gina is the worst sale person! her attitude is questionable she for sure not a grrat biz person! attitude sucky and boss is super cheap!!

They got sofa for u to sit n read. It is like a little oasis in the middle of the noisy downtown. I bought a 2nd hand Japanese ceremony book from them and the price is not too bad compare to Amazon.
