It’s hard to put into words when you find people who become your people!Grace and Greg are amazing gemologists who take pride in and love what they do.My partner made his first purchase in 2020 and gifted me beautiful Australian black opal earrings, WOW!I then got to pick out my next piece. A stunning Australian black opal necklace.Having extraordinary pieces is one thing but Grace’s knowledge and exceptional customer experience was bar none.My story doesn’t end there!This past Christmas, I received the ring of my dreams. It was important to my partner that my ring express the love we share. Grace was instrumental in providing exactly what he wished for. XOPicture’s don’t do my beautiful pieces justice. A leap beyond usual customer service in several ways. First, these folks truly love and care about what they do. Their passion for very high quality and exquisite gems is expressed through tender loving care both of the stones/jewelry and the people who purchase them. Second, the owners “know their stuff.” The purchase experience was hype-free and grounded in their quality knowledge and decades of experience. Finally, they posses the unique capacity to actually listen before they speak. I felt that what I wanted and how I wanted it was important to them and they went to great ends to make me happy.

Never going back there. She sold me a ring sizing it would only cost $30 to downsize it and that sizing would only take a day or two. But once I bought the ring and brought it back to be resized it cost $70 and is going to take two whole weeks. They act nice but they’ll take you for a ride. Very disappointing

I don't usually take the time to write reviews. However in this case I felt it necessary. As a mother one looks forward to their children going through the happy times in life. For instance the excitement and happiness that SHOULD be felt when getting engaged and the joy of receiving a beautiful ring from the person they love and whom loves them. This experience was tainted by this business The Gem Garden. This business in particular, you would think would be much more sympathetic to couples who chose THEM as the place to get their special engagement rings. Instead they were and continue to be vindictive and continue to harass my daughter. The owner Grace even sent my daughter a threatening letter which she tried to make look "official". All because a bad review was made. If Grace is this scared of people seeing the truth, then why didn't she do the right thing and give the ring back to its RIGHTFUL owner? This is what these websites are for. To prevent innocent people from bad experiences as the one my daughter and her fiance experienced and continue to experience. My daughter loved this ring her fiance picked out, wore it for at least a week, and this monster of a business owner basically stole my daughters ring. All she wanted was her ring sized to fit. A bad review was posted due to The Gem Garden charging twice the amount of what they initially quoted. The owner Grace refunded her the amount of the ring and sizing even after my daughter repeatedly told them she wanted her ring back, which had been already paid in full. So if you are looking for a special place to buy your special jewelry for your loved ones. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE!! Don't ruin your special occasions with this business. It is very upsetting that in order to get my daughters ring back, she has to go to civil court. Which she does not have the money to do. What kind of people do this??? The Gem Garden owner does!!!! This is beyond bad customer service! You can't own a business and take offense to peoples reviews and then retaliate by confiscating a ring that was bought in full, and brought in for sizing. Please don't ruin your special occasions. Stay away from this place.

The owner stole our engagement ring. Our engagement ring, which my fiancé purchased at The Gem Garden IN FULL, was deliberately stolen from us by Grace, the owner. The first time we came in to purchase the ring, she was unhelpful and repeatedly did not listen to us. When my fiancé first got there, he used the word engagement ring multiple times, and yet she kept repeating back "promise ring" (it was unique for an engagement ring and she kept assuming instead of listening). She continued to do this even when I came in with our ring at a later date, at my appointment to downsize my ENGAGEMENT ring. My fiancé didn't know my ring size, and she quoted him about $35 for the sizing, saying it would take about 2 days. When I returned on a different date with our ring (that was fully paid off and completely in our possession, pictures to prove that below), she told me the sizing would be $75 because my finger is small, and that it would take about 2 weeks. Why was that not accounted for in the original estimate if my fiancé didn't know my ring size? Regardless, we decided to do it through Grace because we were advised by her to do it through the jeweler we got it from. Because of the experience, my fiancé left a bad review while it was in the process of being sized. Days later, I get a call from Grace about the review. I think she wants to resolve the issue. Silly me. She ends up telling me they "work too hard to deserve this kind of treatment" (a two sentence long bad review, she means) and that she would be "refunding" us for our ring, and keeping it. So I said something along the lines of "No, im coming back to get my ring today" after which she told me she already processed the unauthorized "refund" and we were not going to be getting OUR ring back. At that point, I was fuming. The audacity that this woman has to think that our ring is still hers in any way shape or form after we had fully paid it off, left the premises, and showed our friends and family as a symbol of our engagement, is appalling. The only reason she was able to do this is because we brought it BACK to this terrible place for a DIFFERENT service. When you take in your car to get serviced, the mechanics cannot just pay you for your car and tell you you're never going to see it again if they don't like you. That is YOUR car. "Paying" for it without permission is still THEFT. I called the police to see if they could do anything, they tried calling and getting it back and asked this woman multiple times "if we specifically asked for the refund", and "if we already left the premises after purchasing it" which we did. She then blatantly lied to the police, saying she kept it because we "threatened to cancel the credit card payment on the ring". That is laughable, because besides asking the officer if that's even possible, WE PAID WITH DEBIT. It has been days since this happened, and I am posting this days later because we were waiting for our "refund" which she told me would be instant. So for days we have not had our money OR our ring, which we will likely never see again. The only reason we are not filing a civil court case under advisory of the officer is because to deal with this woman another second would be nauseating. We will just take our business elsewhere, and trust our gut next time the owner gives us the creeps. This woman is psychotic, and should not be allowed to have a business license, let alone a business that frequently deals with important things like engagements. Do not buy your gems/jewelry here if you're looking for someone who values your needs over their fragile ego, or even if you're looking for someone halfway trustworthy. As my fiancé said in the review that sparked all of this, "they seem nice but they'll take you for a ride". Thanks for going above and beyond to prove our point, Grace.

I can't say enough about Grace, Greg and The Gem Garden! On our first visit, my husband and I went in for a consultation with Grace about some of my husband's Australian opals. Grace was incredibly knowledgeable and patient with our questions. It was like sitting down and chatting with a friend! Then Greg took some time to show my husband some tips on using the cabbing machine. My husband picked up a lot of great information! On my next trip in, Grace helped me pick out some amazing rough Australian opal for my husband for our anniversary. She made sure that it would truly be a special gift. He was so excited! I know we will be back to see Grace and Greg in the future. The Gem Garden is an incredible store with a huge selection of beautiful merchandise, but Grace and Greg are really what make this place special! Go see them, you will not be disappointed!

I can not possible express the gratitude I have for the owner, Grace. She was so helpful, patient, kind, and professional. She created my gorgeous engagement ring. My ring turned out better then I could ever have imagined and I love it so much. She did not try to gouge us on the price and she went above and beyond don't jeweler/ jewelry maker. I will be recommending Grace to everyone who asks about my ring. Thank you Grace!! We love it!!

I bought some stones, which to my untrained eye, thought were glass. I met with the owners, a wife and husband team, who are exceptionally well versed in their field. I had a fantastic time, as she opened my eyes to exactly what type of exceptional pieces I purchased. It was easy to set an appointment ahead of time, and they devoted their time to me, without making me feel rushed or insignificant. I highly recommend their services. I will definitely return as I have one more piece to be evaluated.

Grace!!! ❤️✨ She was so kind and knowledgeable! I felt like she was just as excited as we were! I was able to find the perfect diamond and ring for our engagement. She showed us the best options and really listened to my taste and ideas. She truly made this such a stress free experience. I feel so confident in my decision and that is all thanks to Grace! Being a part of the GIA Student Body Council, I got a chance to set an appointment with Grace to visit her store along with other GIA students! Must say she was very hospitable, and gave personal attention to every single student who came in! Got to see some huge Australian black opals at her store! It was a wonderful experience overall and would love to do business with her in the near future!

Fantastic customer service, they worked with our timeline. It’s a great small business! They made sure we knew what we wanted and couldn’t be happier! My Fiancé is very pleased and I would recommend anyone to go here before a retailer who will be much more costly, less transparent on the gemstone/ gold market with none of the help!

Great service and done in a timely fashion. I had a very tight timeline and Grace was able to deliver! Had some custom work done with uncut stones I had brought in and was very pleased with the end result!
