The string cheese we got didn't taste right but it said it's expire by next month. When we went to return it and get another one. We found out that most of those string cheese bags in the refrigerator were expired. Even the chicken thighs we got from this place smelled bad when I opened it to make dinner. I was wrong to check what the hype was about with Smart and Final. Never again!!

A guy staff suspected I was stealing something and asked me to open my bag to check, there were no groceries in my bag and I was just looking for items, I showed him, even after showing he asked me to leave the store, I tried explaining that I wasn’t stealing anything and I even had my parents in the store but he just asked me to leave, eventually I called my dad for proof and he let me go thankfully.
Poor customer treatment basically.

I have to shop here. They carry my fave burritos when on the go, Reynaldos. Plus, there are a few things other grocery stores won't have.

A guy staff suspected I was stealing something and asked me to open my bag to check, there were no groceries in my bag and I was just looking for items, I showed him, even after showing he asked me to leave the store, I tried explaining that I wasn’t stealing anything and I even had my parents in the store but he just asked me to leave, eventually I called my dad for proof and he let me go thankfully.Poor customer treatment basically.

Had a weird experience at checkout. I had a paper certificate that was given to me by my employer like they do every year to buy food at your local grocery stores. The certificate amount is up to $25 but I only spent $18 worth which is fine with me. Get to the check out. The cashier did not know how to redeem the certificate. He calls the manager by the name of Summer over and tells her of his issue. The certificate isn't scanning. I, then say, "what they did in the past was just write the amount I spent and redeem it that way" then summer said "I understand what your saying but it's not scanning. In my head I'm like oh well ok, that's not my problem lol I mean shouldn't you know how to redeem a certificate that your organization honors? They then proceed to call the 800 number on the certificate and the person on the other end couldn't help either. As they were trying to figure out this certificate, Summer also mentioned that if they don't know how to redeem /scan it they will give the certificate back to the customer *rolls eyes* like now it's my fault I can't pay for my food because lack of training. In the end about 5-10 minutes later they figured it out and I was able to walk out with my lunch using the certificate

Always fun to find great deals. A store somewhere between Costco and grocery store. Like the attention to careful pricing to attract the Costco AND neighborhood grocery shoppers. Shelving, stocking needs lots of attention; gives claustrophobic feel but "deals" remain even if have to wade through boxes, etc. Bottom line:. Will go more often and hope problem areas addressed and corrected. ?

I just went yesterday (7-30-2022).The guy paying in front of me was buying 4 packs of bacon. He noticed one pack was "expired" by 2 days, he switched it for another. They next day my son opened the tall red First Street sour cream I had bought, it smelled and tasted weird I looked at the expiration day and it expires in 2 days. I'm going to return it tomorrow. Look at the expiration dates before you buy from here.
