I wanted a specific Benjamin Moore paint but they're closed for most of the weekend so I went here instead. The two ladies working were so helpful and answered all my questions. They helped me match the paint I wanted, helped me get all the supplies I needed, and all of this while I had my three kids with me. Definitely recommend going here

Awful employees. They’ll talk about you behind your back in Spanish. It’s Southern California. You shouldn’t assume I don’t understand Spanish because of my skin color.

Awful and rude employees, who seem to want to pick a fight. I've never met an employee so blatantly hostile to somebody for just walking in the door. was hours before closing, and interrupted a conversation I had with somebody else (about my car almost being hit, nothing he should care about) to argue with me, so I just left. It would almost be comical if not for his insulting and aggressive demeanor.

Disappointing experience. Offensive and won't return. I hustled into the store at 5:58 after battling traffic across town to get 2 small sample jars of paint. We're in the middle of a job and I had to make a decision that night on color. I called in advance and they were ready at the counter. The door was open, employees standing around, contractors out front. I walked in 1-2 minutes before 6:00, relieved to have made it by closing. A small lady at the register snapped "we're closed". I said, I just need the samples. "sorry the registers are closed". I said but I made it by 6! She picked up a little clock and said no, sorry it's 2 minutes after". She was snappy and rude. We had now be standing there for a minute, so you're arguing with me, making it my fault, over 1 minute? Seriously?? I pleaded, "pleeease, it's important for our project tonight!" My small cans were sitting right there. "Nope we're closed. (as the door sat ajar). I left knowing I'd never walk in there again. Can't we come to a different solution to accommodate this special case? I live a mile away, definitely not out to rip the place off for 2 samples. Our contractor was in the system. She could have taken my contact info, copy of my drivers license so I could pay later. it was the worst experience, I was furious to be treated with a nasty attitude. We've been going there for years for our home and rental homes. Never going back. Quite silly approach to business when there are so many other options. i wonder if service would have been different if I was a painting contractor. La Costa SW was fantastic in helping us finish our major project.

Ashley was very helpful, explained things until I was clear, helped me pick best roller, brush etc for my needs and even took paint cans to my car!

Called to get pricing on paint.Brandon answered. The rudest it possibly can be. No wonder ppl go to HD and Lowe's and Dunn Edwards for paint. Bc these stores customer service doesn't exist. Customer service starts at the phone if phone Convo is bad I guarantee you the person won't step foot in your store.so update: the response from the owner; he apologize, and he wants me to call and discuss the situation and then they're going to put me in touch w the "appropriate contact" who can assist me or email and include store #.this tells me this is a stamped statement they send to all bad reviews. INSTEAD of saying they addressed the rude person and it won't happen again. (to owner: just look under what store the bad review is, and that should tell you which store).I did call the oceanside store after the SAN MARCOS store, your associate was busy asked to call me back. and he did and was the nicest person, professional and polite and was very patient and answered all me questions. and didn't say "i really don't care".

I've been coming here for years and always happy with service and paint. I'd like to do a special shout out to an employee named Brandon. So helpful, efficient, personable, and quick! If he's not already in a leadership role, he would be great in one in my opinion. Great job hiring.

I have been to several other SW stores in the area and had a really bad experience at one in particular. So I wasn't expecting such stellar customer service when I came to this location. I went to buy some paint before the sale ended today. The two young gentlemen working were super nice and helpful, offering me paint sticks and a can opener without me even asking. I am definitely not a professional painter, but I appreciate that they were helpful (and not condescending like one of the other stores).
