I came here to get my wedding dress altered. I had it hemmed, had a piece of fabric replaced, taken in, and the seamstress added some buttons so I can fold up the train of my dress. I paid just under $800 for these alterations and I am THRILLED! I came in mid March and they had my alterations done mid June (I was in no hurry). The staff were incredibly friendly. The day I came to pick up my dress I forgot shoes and they had a few different height heels to loan me to try on with the dress. I couldn’t speak higher about this place or my experience. It was an easy process and the staff were reassuring and friendly. My partner and I intend on returning for future alterations. Thank you!

I thought I was very clear of what I wanted which was to have the length of the jacket itself, not the arms shortened. They prefer to have the lady measure you instead. I was in a rush and told him that's okay. I just want it done this way. After 5 minutes the lady came to confirm I wanted to do it without getting sized to which I responded. Yes that's the way I want to do it. She was going to shorten the arms. I explained to the young lady who assisted me. I told you I wanted the length of the jacket, not the arms in which she said that I told her the exact opposite. Long story short, she wanted to be correct and she was not $65 a piece for a total of $130 to have two jackets shortened at the length kind of expensive. But it is what it is. But the girl at the register needs to listen more and talk less. I picked up my jackets today. I'm sure they're fine $130 later

Amazing experience here in April 2023, getting my entire wedding suit tailored from top to bottom. I very much enjoyed the customer service (the receptionist was super kind!) and the seamstress patiently working with me to suggest where needed to be tailored based on my preference and style, despite me having 0 experience or knowledge on clothing tailoring. Also got all the clothes dry cleaned. IMO the pricing was great!!Services: Formal

Alterations on my blouse (sleeves shortened and tapered) and my tee-shirt (tapered sleeves) were perfectly done. The staff were all friendly and attentive. They did exactly what I requested in a speedy time frame. I'm very pleased.

We have been coming here for years with our dry cleaning and it's always a great experience. We recently needed pants tailored same day and they were able to get it done perfectly within a couple of hours! Pleats will always be our go to.

I want to start off my saying my family have been LONG TIME customers of pleats. My mother used to get all her work clothes altered here and I used to get my pants, cheerleading uniform, as well as dance dresses altered here as well when I was in high school. (7 years ago) I don't know what happened, but the service quality has gone WAYYY down. I recently took a pair of work pants here to get altered and the stitching was so bad and lopsided I had to ask to get it redone. I specifically told her to fix a spot on the pants that was done incorrectly. I came back the next day and IT WASNT FIXED and though they said it was. There was no one there to fix it for me when I saw the issue the second day, and no one there to issue me a refund for the horrible work. What kind of cashier register worker doesn't know how to give a refund?I am extremely disappointed because they wasted my time and money driving over there to pick up the pants TWICE just for the quality of the work to be horrible. I miss the days pleats had a fast turn around time and great quality. I don't know if it's management or workers, but something needs to change or you will not have any customers.

I paid $20 to get my son measured for my sisters wedding. She asked if I wanted it fitted- I said no. Loose, but where it fits correctly. I took her measurements and sent them to the tux company for my sisters wedding that’s TOMORROW and he is DROWNING. My son is no longer able to be apart of a special day. Pleats San Marcos lost an expensive piece of clothing, and has been telling me for months the owner/manager will reach out for a resolution. They have not despite numerous attempts by me to get in touch.

Use to be a great place years ago. Now they are disorganized and some of the staff is rude. Disappointing because I use to go quite a bit, I don't live close to them anymore, so I went out of my way recently because they use to be so reliable. Then they ruin/shrink a $100 sweater and lose my husbands pants. It's been 3 weeks and I'm still waiting for a resolution. Better business bureau or dept of consumer affairs here we come. Don't waste your time here.Update. A month and a half later they find my husbands pants. Sweater is not fixed even though they blocked it which helps undue shrinking but it's still too small. No offer from them to refund the original services. I will never be going back or no longer recommend. My family and friends that go there already are also not going back either because of this experience. The fact no one ever called to follow up with me during the whole time, I had to keep calling each week is crazy. I also run a business, have a family, and a commute. I don't have time to do your job for you.

Hello all. I am not one to post reviews regularly. I truly believe that sometimes people have bad days and I don't take things personally. I have been a customer of Pleats for more than 7 yrs. maybe even close to 10 yrs. During this time of course mistakes have happened and they were either resolved or I ignored them and continued my patronage of Pleats, home delivery service and on site service. I will say that my recent experience with them has convinced me to move on, never to use their service again and write this review, as a warning to other people that may be considering using their services. Incident #1- I dropped off some items for dry cleaning at the San Marcos store. When I picked them up, I was notified by the cashier, that one of my items was not there and they will be receiving it soon. We identified the item which was a very expensive linen shirt, and she assured me that it would be found and I would be notified. Weeks passed by and 0 notifications. I continuously followed up in store and the shirt was never found. I was advised to call Lou and make arrangements. Incident #2- I dropped off a cashmere/silk blend coat for dry cleaning and it was washed! When I picked it up the coat was completely damaged. It looked like it was decades old and dingy. The attendant which I believe his name is Paul, took pictures and agreed it was damaged. Again I was advised to contact Lou to make arrangements for both incidents. This has now been months and nothing from Pleats. I have called numerous times, sent dozens of text messages to Lou, been to the store numerous times to try and resolve and NOTHING!!!!! Not a text, not a call, not even a go screw yourself from them.More disappointing than the expense of replacing my clothing that was damaged, is the complete lack of customer service and respect especially for a long term customer that has spent thousands of dollars over the years using their services and supporting their establishment. My only option now, is spending valuable time taking them to small claims court. Pleats, let it be known that up until now, I would have been a happy customer with a call, an apology and even a discount for future services! But you couldn't even do that! Future or current customers, I hope my review helps you in making a decision wether to use Pleats for your laundry needs or not. Everyone and every company will make mistakes at some point. The true test of any company or individual is how they respond and react to a mistake or error. In this case, Pleats, Paul and Lou, you have epically failed.
