Walking into Planter Sam’s shop almost took my breath away. It’s packed with plants whose healthy leaves glisten in many shades of green and yellow. Such a variety of plants and sizes. I was given lots of helpful information on sun, potting and temperature from Sam, her husband and other clerks on my two visits this month. There were lots of pot colors and sizes. I am so glad I had one of the plants repotted for me by staff. The other two smaller ones I did at home but the convenience is well worth the minimal charge. I really like the small macrame hanging I bought to fill in a bare corner. And I picked up a unique birthday card with a garden theme. I’m so glad this lovely small-business is in my San Marcos neighborhood — but it’s easy to get to from anywhere in north county. Value - selection - customer service - easy parking — ALL 5-star.

Love this place! So many plants to choose from & they all look beautiful & healthy. We were assisted by Sam or her husband who were both friendly & very knowledgeable. We found out during our visits that they offer consultations or at-home plant care which is a nice service if you need some assistance. We couldn't be happier with our purchases & look forward to returning. Thanks PlanterSam!

Planter Sam was great to work with. They are reasonable, knowledgeable, and personal. Most importantly their product is 5-stars! The plants and pots are beautiful, and they have a great sense of design.

Fantastic plants, 100% pest free, 100% of the time, selection including relatives common all the way to quite rare, they will help with repotting and putting in a coco coir pole. Incredibly nice and knowledgeable staff as well :)

Recently moved to San Marcos, want to have some green in my house and found this lovely store! Love everything bought here. The plants are so healthy and instructions are given for beginner like me. Just bought a book to learn more. Definitely will come back for more plants.

Sam repotted a plant into a larger pot, and while I was waiting, I picked out this pretty little plant to give as a gift. I also got a saucer, a stand for my pot and a small fertilizer shaker for the few houseplants I have, and some mini pecan tarts baked locally. Selection is wonderful and prices are very reasonable! What a fun place!

I absolutely love this store. I’ve been buying plants from Sam for years since she worked out of her garage and have 13 now. They are all gorgeous and thriving. The soil she uses is excellent. All the plants are so well cared for and Sam and her husband are so friendly, helpful and kind. I recommend them to everyone for yourself and for the gift of plants! So grateful for this local gem! ??

Great service, I came in and o look around and found indoor plant fertilizer that didn't require mixing with water. I found just what I needed: a sprinkle shaker of fertilizer that's a good size for use on my 3 houseplants.The prices for indoor plants are so reasonable and they were all so pretty.

Planter Sam’s is my favorite plant shop and my happy place. ? The pic is of my dog, Gus and the Alocasia Regal Shield I purchased from them. It has grown more since then and keeps putting out beautiful, deep green, matte leaves. It’s been a great plant for me as a beginner and is my favorite at the moment. ? don’t tell the others. The whole team at Planter Sam has been great at answering my questions and are always kind and supportive. I just signed up on their website to be notified of any plant education classes they have. Because of my new found obsession with plants, my family and friends have been getting Planter Sam plants as gifts. I feel like they bring me so much joy that everyone must need more plants in their lives- Lol. ? Every plant I’ve gotten from them has been quality and pest free. Thanks Sam and team! ??

I was visiting my mom in San Diego and we stopped by this lovely shop for plant. The lady was amazing. She was knowledgeable, kind, engaging, and supper helpful. We also got to meet her husband who was handsome and kind. He was knowledgeable as well. We purchased two plants and pots. Love it thank you.
