I love this place! It isn’t just a plant shopping destination, it’s a relaxing and informative break in your day. All they need now is a cafe or barista station to complete this reprieve from the rat race. There’s a wide range of seeds, as well as indoor and outdoor plants, fertilizers and ornamental pots, plus all kinds of products other garden centers don’t carry, such as pond accessories, bags of bat guano or containers of helpful lady bugs or earthworms. You can even have them identify what’s bothering your plant at home. Remember to pick up your Edible San Diego magazine on your way out. ?

Been gardening for over 40 years & use you exclusively. Your staff knows our local terrain & is very knowledgeable when I bring in a sample of an unwell leaf. Can't recommend here high enough.

I had been looking for a macadamia nut tree and I finally found one at green thumb. I'd never been to this nursery and was shocked at its size and what it had for sale. I think they have everything you could want. Anyway, I got myself a fine, healthy macadamia tree and asked lots of questions about soil, watering, growth. So, o e month later, my tree is doing great and will definitely be back at Green Thumb soon.

I really love this place. I feel like I'm walking into an oasis. I usually stay for quite a while! Everyone here is very helpful, informative and knowledgeable and friendly. I always find really good quality Items and I buy all of my soil and compost here, it's more specialty and works great for my potted plants and my inground plants.
