Compost was dry and had no smell, mulch seems to have green waste material in it. Not good quality at all. Looked like all of their topsoils were blended in with trashy fill dirt they get from the dump, won’t be growing my grass on that!

We've purchased from Eastman on multiple occasions. Every time they are pleasant and professional. Usually we buy some type of compost or mulch blend. Last time we bought a garden mix.

Called the shop 3 times with quick questions and talked to the owner each time. She was wonderful and very straight forward. We popped by on a Saturday and were helped by her right away, she walked the lot with us breaking down pricing and options. We went with the almond, the delivery was on time, and as expected. Loved the whole process, very simple and helpful. Our neighbors gardener told us to check them out and I'd highly recommend them as well. Thanks a bunch!

Jeff and the team over at Eastman are amazing! Placed one large original order with them (top soil, DG, and fill dirt) which was delivered promptly and professionally. Ended up needing more material (a couple times) which was as easy as taking my personal vehicle over to the yard and filling some buckets. Would recommend them to anyone!

Great experience. Anna was so helpful both over the phone and in person. Ordered and had a large load of mulch delivered to my home. Delivery driver (from an independent company) was excellent and thoughtful. Of the 3 companies I called and visited for quotes, eastman soil was by far the best! Thank you

My husband has a crop of special black raspberry plants that need repotting. It'll be a big job. I wanted to find him the best potting soil possible. I have a hobby growing organic tomatoes, basil, garlic, shallots and assorted flowers. Eastman Soil Amendments came highly recommended by some neighbors in the know. I'm always suspicious of businesses with a straight 5 star rating on Yelp. After my experience with Eastman I can see how they've earned their high rating. This is a mom & pop business. Geoff and his wife (Anna) own it and run it with kindness, decency and warmth. Their yard workman, Alberto, is lovely to deal with too. Alberto cheerfully helped me finish shoveling my soil mix into bags for me, I'm a regular at Costco. Love the place. Eastman Soil Amendments is even a BETTER deal than Costco for their potting soil mix. Bonus Tips: 1) Bring a roll of plastic garbage bags to shovel your soil into. They'll kindly lend you a shovel and buckets you can fit your bags into. 2) Double your plastic bags. Even if you think they're sturdy. Trust me on this. 3) DON''T overload your bags of soil. Trust me on this one too. 4) Bring more garbage bags than you think you'll need. 5) Bring some form of music to keep you company while you load your bags. I played my YouTube music on the ol' smartphone.

We've used Eastman the last 4 years and each time, they've delivered, literally! We have a steep slope on our property that our HOA requires to be fully covered with plant material or some sort of bark. We cannot have any bare dirt showing. To comply, every year we have Eastman deliver gorilla mulch, which is the only ground cover that seems to stay in place on our slope. Their prices are pretty competitive. In years past, we've bought anywhere from 5-7 cubic yards of mulch at $50 for each cubic yard. This year, we paid $70! EVERYTHING has gone up including mulch!! Thankfully our plants are growing in so we only needed 3.5 cubic yards this year. The ladies working the front are very friendly and placing an order over the phone is quick and painless. They do deliver for a fee so if you don't have access to a trailer that can carry the material, its very helpful. Its helpful to be home when they deliver because there was one year that the driver literally blocked our front gate that leads to our front door/courtyard so we could not get into the house unless we climbed over the mound of mulch or went through the garage. Aside from that, Eastman has been very great to work with and we will continue to give them business.

Too many rocks in their top soil/top dressing! Broken glass as well! Having to hand pick them out of my lawn. Dinged up my mower blades and can't walk barefoot in the lawn

These people are great, good customer service, on time and quality soil...(don't get them confused with Great soil LLC and its shifty owner, Greame who is the neighbor near Eastman Soil...he pretends he has good quality like Eastman soil...or steals Eastman soil customers without letting them know he is a totally different company!)

Excellent local place to get quality soils and mulches. I have a small citrus orchard and those trees LOVE their Sequoia blend mulch, and it retains water excellently, slow feeding my beautiful trees.
