“I know Dollar Tree isn't usually a place people check on yelp, but I thought the staff deserved to be recognized for an incident I witnessed last time I shopped. An elderly lady with a cane was flustered and couldn't find her pocketbook in her purse. She held up the line a little, but we all patiently waited until another lady shopper offered to buy her items and then follow her out to collect the eight bucks when the older lady found it in her car. They headed out, but someone saw her wallet in the store and the cashier made a mad dash to return the wallet and save the day. Very nice folks work and shop here.”

“Wow! This is one of the nicest Dollar Trees I've ever been in! I went in there looking for Father's Day cards and the selection did not disappoint. I also found a few other things I needed...rulers and a few other office supplies. The aisles were clean and well organized. Staff was friendly! I'll be back!”

“Better than Five O', It's kinda like the 99 cents store. Me and my friend walked down to a nearby Dollar tree by his house. I went into there deciding either to buy a drink, wafers, chips, or a frozen treat. Everything there is $1-5 once you walk in. I bought a frozen Minute Maid Orangeade and Brim Cheeto Puffs and the next day I ate the whole bag at my house without my mom and dad knowing. I am the type of kid that sort of eats the whole bag and package of my favorite snacks ranked. They have less toys and more food. It was a quiet service once me and my friend came to check out. It was a 5 minute wait to get out of the store and bounce. All of a sudden, we see this homeless guy (I might be wrong about that) But the guy was walking into the store who is wearing black sandals and old rusty black sweatpants and a grey jacket, I cannot believe the Employees treated the guy with the upmost respect and not even hitting him with a broom. Me and my friend were confused looking over the other checkout line in the front by the doors. It kinda feels like a Candyland once you walk into the Dollar tree store because Easter Szn is coming up. But I definitely think Dollar Tree might be a way better choice than Five O', All the prices at the Dollar tree are less cheaper than having a high expense of money at other big shopping stores.”

“This is the best Dollar Tree in the area. I live a half mile from the store at College and Oceanside Blvd, which is one of the worst. Unless I’m in a rush, I routinely drive 3 miles to the Vista store. The manager Patty, is the best. She knows how to run the store, and hire great cashiers. Always pleasant, the store has a larger variety. Flor, Ashley, and Esmeralda are the best too. If there are more than 4 people in line, or someone with a full cart, they will open another line to get customers through. At the other stores, they will let you stand in line forever. I frequently walk out. Never in Patty’s store. They always know what they have, and where it is. By far my favorite Dollar Tree in the Oceanside/ Vista area.”

“Family Dollar is literally the only store that is open/operating in the run-down shopping center. This means there's no trouble finding parking, ever. It's very convenient and open late (10 PM). The prices are relatively reasonable, for most items. They offer weekly coupons and they are best accessed on the Family Dollar App/Smart Coupons. Family Dollar often has deals and clearance items throughout the store. A coupon I see often is "$5 off when you spend $25 or more." Family Dollar carries it all. If it's late and you are in the area, it's easy to run in and out. They have household items, cleaning, food & beverage, office & school supplies, party supplies, and so much more. The inventory isn't big, but you'll find the essentials and a little more. They carry way too many items to have a robust inventory in a small store front. The employees at this location are friendly and talkative. They always greet each and every customer. A few things I'd love to see...I'd love to see Family Dollar sell ice and more pet supplies. Also, it's inconvenient to not be able to push the cart out of the store, but I completely understand. No need to elaborate, right? Like I said, it's a small retail store that stocks a range of everyday items. Some items cost slightly more, but that's the price of convenience and some are even cheaper than the $1.25 Tree/Dollar Tree. If you go to shop, shop accordingly and know your prices, so you can buy select items here/elsewhere.”

“I came in to dollar tree, and there was a long line. I stood in line and waited as I approach the register I was greeted by a very sweet girl named Mysti. She did apologize for the long wait I did let her know that it was OK and it was her first day and she did an amazing job making sure all my needs were met, and even though there was a long line and she was the only one at the register, she still had a very positive attitude with a smile on her face, and for that I am rating her five stars”

“It's my 1st time here at this 99-cent store located on E.Vista Way. The store is a nice size that has many products from produce to household items. The staff are hard working and friendly. I had to take some engine oil back because it was not the right kind. You are allowed to return items for store credit or exchanges within 3rd day of purchase. I was given a 99-cent store gift card. I give this place a 4 star ? overall. I will definitely shop here again.”

“At least the Dollar Tree did not go up ridiculously on their prices all they went up is a quarter so I definitely started going to the Dollar Tree and the dollar store instead of the 99 cent store because the 99 cent store is off the chart with their prices ridiculously sometimes you can even go to Vons and buy certain things that are cheaper than the 99 cent store that's pretty bad I hope people wake up to that I have nothing against the 99 Cent Store when it was running better deals for the public well nothing personal again it's just a fact”

“Well, the store itself is good, i found it very interesing. But there was a thing.A few months ago my family and I went there and we saw 2 men stealing some stuff. A blender o something like that. They were putting it in their backpack. While they were doing that I made eye contact with them. They just smiled. It was scary lol”

“How very convenient!! I needed to charge my wireless phone, and I had less than 10% charge, but I had 2 more hours left on my security guard shift. I thought I had to go to the am/pm which was across the street to get a cheap one. Nope! I knew on the way when I saw the 99 cent store they will have better selections and different variety, and of course better pricing.”

“Shopping for my Church, Mariners Oceanside, Outreach and Service Ministry.Purchased most of the items we needed to pack hygiene bags for the asylum seekers that have entered our city.Shopped at the store located off Jefferson in Carlsbad. The cashier was so patient and accommodating as we cleared the three carts we had filled with items for the hygiene bags. My sincere thanks go out to her for her patience and assistance and to The Dollar Tree. One-stop shopping at a reasonable price in a time of need.”
