So my first month with Citi has been interesting, to say the least. Luckily I was watching my account or they would have stolen 700 from me. I called their support and was told I was crazy. My wife went into this branch and was basically told she made a mistake repeatedly and not taken seriously by 3 different people. So I had to go in and show proof of the mistake which was met again by skepticism the smug assumption that this was obviously our mistake. He shows me his screen trying to convince me I've only made 2 deposits. I had to make him scroll the screen to the bottom to prove there was 3 deposits and for some reason he didn't want to admit that and thought hiding it from me would be smart. After beating Jorge over the head with proof in the form of multiple statements from multiple banks, PROVING they made a mistake, he finally made a call to open some sort of investigation into THEIR MISTAKE. At the end he dismisses me and says, hopefully they can figure it out. Hopefully? Hopefully I don't come to your house and steal $700.Thankfully the matter was resolved, but if my wife and I didn't decide to argue till we were blue in the face, they would have happily stolen our money. Keep an eye on your accounts.

This was my first time coming to this branch. I was a bit nervous upon entering as the interior decor made me question what year I had stepped into as it has a 70's vibe (and not in a good way). It seemed dark and dismal and I half expected the staff to be dressed in ugly brown suits and dresses. There was a rather long walk down the roped path to the tellers, plenty of time to take in the heavy darkness of the bank. It was a bit foreboding however I was pleasantly surprised when I had only a few minute wait to be assisted by a smiling teller that was from this decade:) The teller was quick, kind, professional and my deposit transaction was handled quickly and painlessly. Moral of the story is don't judge a bank by it's throwback decor.

As a citi bank customer of over a decade, this is the worst branch to deal with. Absolutely impossible to get anyone on the phone. Tried 3 different times today. Go to escondido or encinitas

After being a card member for 27 years and Costco member for that time the one time that I request a warranty claim they're making the process so difficult. First they wanted to Costco receipt which I provided then they wanted a estimate which I provided now they require my credit card statement from four years ago to confirm the purchase, even though I gave them the exact Costco receipt. Making life miserable all I'm trying to do is get my kids laptop repaired so she can do her homework.

we like Citibank San Marcos branch. very friendly and caring stuff. manager of this bank Ken, best manager that is so helpful every time we do business there.

I’ve been banking with Citi bank for a minimum of 15 years, and my experiences have always been pleasant until today.A young lady by the name of Jennifer Torres was the teller that helped me today and she definitely made me feel unwelcome. She was short , rude, and gave me very limited options on resolving my inquiry. If you guys don’t want to lose customers, I suggest you have friendly, patient people that are willing to help vs. giving customers a bad experience.

Someone across the country stole every cent of money I had due to a security breach by Citu.I have been dealing with this for over a month now. Im disabled and live in assisted living.Citi was not helpful at all in getting this mess cleared up. LONG holds,unknowledgable apathetic staff have made my dealing with Citi a nightmare. I still can't get m t mobile app to work. I have been a customer for over 24 years and their customer service,fraud department et al are incompetent and entirely non interested. Don't believe anything they say in print even about how they will take care of you in this situation. It's LIES

Everyone here was super nice. I was treated warmly by a gentleman who had a conversation with me about my dog. Did I mention they're dog friendly?! The woman behind the counter was very sweet and helpful. Even wearing a mask, I knew she was smiling at me which was a nice feeling. I felt like a j*** for having a question as they were closing up, but they didn't make me feel like a bother at all. They actually had me sit down and helped me, and told me how I was not a bother at all. I definitely recommend this bank, especially this branch.

I am a very satisfied customer of Citibank, San Marcos! Our bank recently closed in Vista, and it was suggested we go to SM for our needs. What a great experience! These folks have been so helpful, kind, thorough, and infinitely patient. I have witnessed many interactions with customers, while waiting to be helped, and it was so worth the wait, to experience the value they display for their customers. The tellers, most especially, Luis Lopez, Head Teller, is the very BEST! Luis has the ability to make you feel welcome, no matter what your mission, and it is an absolute pleasure to interact with this young man. He is a definite credit to Citibank, AND a blessing to me. Well done, Luis, well done!!!

Terrible terrible customer care even after they allowed my bank account to be cleaned out right before Christmas. Its taken me over a month to sort it out. The reps are untrained,disinterested and I'm still trying to get my mobile app to work. TERRIBLE BANK QDONTRUSTHTHEM!!

Absolutely the worst customer service. Was just trying to put money into my account and Jennifer made me feel like I was calling nothing some crime. Closing my account and will be telling everyone I know to stay away from this awful place. Thanks Jen

I have an account with Citibank and wrote a check for my son and he took it to the bank to be cashed and since he didn't have an account they told him he would have to go to Poway to cash it! That is ridiculous since I have an account with them!! Today I went to deposit cash into my checking account and they made me get a money order because they don't take cash! Absolutely crazy! If I didn't have direct deposit and payments that were automatically taken out I would go elsewhere. I never heard of a bank that is so poor at serving their customers.
