I dont go here, I just did a tour. It reminds me of the gym I had in our wrestling room; enough equipment to get a lift in, stinks like sweat, and no frills. I like these types of places causes you wont have 20 teenagers standing by the bench press and its dirt cheap cause you arent paying for a pool/sauna/basketball court/etc. Then I found out its $40 a month. 24 hour/LA fitness is cheaper and you get more, it just doesnt make sense to go here.

I would give it 5 stars if the music played in the gym wasn’t so loud you could hear it through noise canceling air pods. Great equipment it’s not as packed as other gyms 24 hour access is a plus

They refused to cancel my membership. I've notified them in writing twice (luckily I kept documentation for a credit card charge back). They never answer their phone. I'll dispute the charges.If you do sign up, be sure to use a credit card and not a debit card so you can do a charge back.The gym itself is mid, they don't even have 2.5 lb plates. Only gym I've had to bring my own weights to, lol.

Decent gym but the management specifically the owner is horrible,changes gym rules on the spot and let’s other get away with the same rules their suppose to enforce on others. Honestly avoid this gym until new management takes over.

Went to this location while visiting our daughter in college. Was very happy with the amount of machines and equipment. It was busy but there was plenty of room and open equipment needed to get leg day done. Plan on using this location every time we visit.

So the gym is spacious and clean. Front door does not fully shut and lock, so people just walked in without scanning. One lady walked her friend in as if it was a normal day. Members did not rack their weights. I have been to a lot of ATF locations and this was below normal standards.

I love this gym. It's never too crowded no matter what time I go. I particularly like the abundance of squat/power racks. You don't have to wait around to get your work in.

Ive been to several AF locations, and this is definitely one of the largest ones Ive seen. I was surprised to see equipment that I haven’t seen at other places too, so that was a plus! Compared to other regular gyms, it’s standard. However, compared to other Anytime Fitness locations, it was just okay and could do with some improvements.Pros:Ample equipment and squat racksOlympic platforms & bumper platesNot crowdedCons:Grimy and neglected(had dark stuff rub off onto my arms that made my shower water brown, weights all over the floor or piled in corner, tears on machine cushions, a single sanitizing wipe dispenser-all others were empty/broken, dingy bathroom)Music was loud and unwelcomingNo clocks anywhereNo designated stretching areaSeemingly a lack of community engagement/care (classes, events, challenges, clarity over gym etiquette)Is it a good, standard gym? Yes.Would I choose this AF location over others in the North County area? No.

Five stars for what it is...maybe 4 overall if it's not your scene. This is AF's answer to a dungeon gym...nice but with a vibe as a place for hard men and hard women (or those on their journey to become so) listening to hard music to get...more. There is no studio space for yoga or pilates, there is no wasted space for cross fit shenanigans. You come to this gym to lift and lift hard with an intensity to get things done.Are there skid marks on the floor? Chipped plaster on the walls? Do the sink faucets make you think you're going to be electrocuted? Yes to all that but the equipment is well maintained, clean and plentiful. The former is just character and there's something to be said for having a gym that isn't too sterile and pristine. This gym wears it's scars with pride because it shows people are doing the work and sometimes even the most conscientious of us chip a wall...in order to break through another type of wall altogether.This gym is not for everybody, but if you are looking for a place to get the work done, full of like minded ppl, this might be the place for you.

Anytime really went downhill. This location specifically started going bad after a year of being here. Machines are broken, bathroom with the shower wont lock so anyone can just walk in at anytime during my shower, and I've send the water filter indicator at the water stands be at red more than I've ever seen it be green. Janitorial management seems to be fine but equipment and hard wear are so hard to avoid.A majority of the lockers won't close all the way to be able to lock them but at least they have cameras over them where I can do who will steal my stuff. But at least they have Jeff. I love Jeff. Super helpful dude with awesome tips. I feel like Jeff is the only reason I haven't canceled yet. Love Jeff

Can't get a hold of owner to cancel membership. I've left a note in there office asking respectfully for them to schedule an appointment. I called multiple time and no one answers! I even left a message on their Facebook page, but no response. My best advice is to avoid this place at all cost! Can confirm all the other negative comments are true. I will keep this post updated on my situation. If I still get now response I will consider taking legal action immediately!Edit: can you explain why the gym phone number goes straight to voicemail every-time I call?Edit: Cancelled my membership in person. If anyone is having trouble canceling or finding a manager at this gym the owner also owns the Chula Vista Anytime Fitness. They picked up the phone at that location, but not in San Marcos for some reason because it always goes to voicemail. The owner should do a better job having hours posted and having a phone number that actually works! My advice is to skip this gym if non of that is available! The manager is a nice guy, but this owner obviously doesn't care about his business, which is why most of the cardio equipment has exposed electrics and missing buttons.
